If someone is providing you with incorrect information, it's best to ignore them. Students often change universities and courses, and this is a significant decision. Visa officers understand that students may eventually realize that their initial choice of study is not suitable for them, which might lead to a change in their subject. Additionally, during the interview, the visa officer will ask questions based on the I-20 you present, not from any other I-20 you may have.

If you have scheduled your VISA interview, you must have your DS-160 confirmation page. If your interview is after March 17 and you need to change your I-20, you will need to fill out a new DS-160 form with your new i-20 information. Bring both the old and new DS-160 confirmation pages to your interview. The embassy employee will update your DS-160 number in the CGI portal, allowing you to change your I-20 afterward.

Create a new form and start filling it out, paying close attention to the first two pages of the DS-160 form. Be sure to remember the security questions and application ID. It’s a good idea to write this information down somewhere so you won’t forget it or make the same mistake again.

Yes, you can submit a new DS-160 form with your updated address and update that number on the CGI portal before February 4th. After you receive your new I-20, fill out another DS-160 form and bring both DS-160 confirmation pages to your interview.

If you have scheduled your visa interview by submitting a valid DS-160 form, there is no need to update anything before 4th Feb. Once you receive your new I-20, fill out a new DS-160 form. When you go to your interview, be sure to bring both the confirmation pages of the old and new DS-160 forms.

Yes, you can do that. However, if your DS-160 form expires accidentally, you will need to fill out a new DS-160 form and request a change to the DS-160 number at the embassy. Since your interview is scheduled for February, you will not need to present a new DS-160 confirmation page that you used to book the interview.

If you are changing your intake and previously filled out a form for the Spring intake, but now wish to apply for the Fall intake with the same university's I-20, you must complete and submit a new DS-160 form. This is necessary because the DS-160 includes an important question: "Intended date of arrival," which will change if you alter your intake.
