I am self pay. The sheer amount of money that I DON’T spend a month on food alone nearly pays for the $550 a month for me, tbh. The amount of money I spent on groceries and eating out was absorbent. My hub and I have both lost a lot of weight and are eating WAY less. The money I would have spent on food goes to Mounjaro now. I am on Tirz but he is not, so we have worked it out. Would I rather have a designer pair of shoes or a purse with the extra cash?? Yep! Is it worth it for Mounjaro instead?! 100%

I learned this last month on mail order to call every day. It takes time but I got the medication. There is a 7 day lag filling for them to contact and process if you do not do this. By that time the medication is gone. My stress level was off the charts. Then I remembered how blessed I am to be able to have this life changing medication.💖📸

A tip for anyone after the shortage, if you fill your prescription the day it is available to fill (every 23/25/26 days), after some months, the time will overlap causing you to start building yourself a legit stockpile. Just had to break my 3 month refill as CVS in my area just was unable to fill this. I called 20 locations and many searched within their 20 mike radius and found only 3 locations in the state that each had 1 box of 15mg. I was able to get 1 box with an 1 hour drive each way to get this. Totally agree with the Countess here on calling around. I have been struggling to stay on track with food choices, movement and water intake. My husband came home from a 9 month deployment, so yay! But that also means new sleep schedules, so waking up several times a night as he adjusts to being back on east coast time but he also came home with the flu. We had a sickness move through the house over the past 2 weeks and I think I slept all nice once in almost 3 weeks. I’m working on busting myself out of this funk after no schedule and then kids on spring break and my youngest being sick and not sleeping the past week over break. I have been able to “stockpile” one box…when I started, I waited two weeks (anticipating the shortage). Then I got a bad stomach bug and skipped a week. Hollywood has entered the chat! We aren’t getting the meds here either. There are *some* pharmacy managers with stronger pull with distributors than others (Beverly Hills, Pac Palisades, Brentwood, Santa Monica, etc) but not really. Even designer med spas are struggling to get them. Before the boom, people had no trouble getting them, but these days are over. Even we Los Angelenos are on hold and in line and waiting for their pens, so no one is hoarding the meds, I promise. That BMI tip was gold. I am 10 lbs from no longer being obese. I am planning on being on this for the rest of my life so I want to make sure that I don’t have to regain the weight just to get the meds back. That is why I have my PCP and Join Fridays. I am looking at this for the long run. I am supposed to get my compounded Tirzepatide in a week and am still 3 weeks overdue for my name brand pens. The pens are convenient, but for those who are ok with the syringe, they need to release the vial option. I would be first to sign up!

I was prescribed Zepbound 2.5 starting dose last month, and cannot get it and might not be able to for months and months. My doctor said the compound is not FDA approved and didn't suggest it. The higher amounts like the 15 you are holding are not the ones in too much shortage. It is the lower doses.
