In Jan 75 I went to a concert to see Lynyrd Skynyrd, who played second billing to Uriah Heep. I had never really heard Uriah Heep before. I went into the concert as a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan and walked out a Uriah Heep fan. I thought Ronnie Van Zant's Freebird was fantastic. But when Ken Hensley did his solo for Gypsy (as the rest of the band left Ken on the stage and then came back to finish the song), I was converted.

Reading through the comments, many people fail to realize that Ken Hensley is playing the slide lead guitar and Mick Box is holding down the fort on rhythm guitar. That is why there is no organ on this Cream inspired number.

Great song and yes not only is Mic Box underrated, in my opinion he is one of the top 20 guitarists in the world. Hendrix made noise with the wa-wa Mic turned it into an instrument and influenced my playing a lot in the late 80’s. Check out Another Way we (Jackal) performed it in 1990. I wrote it and use a wah quite a bit in it as well as the solo. Thanks for posting this live version of one of my favorite songs by Uriah Heep. R.Price
