I'm really glad you're doing this! I've always loved Civ, but I wouldn't say I've ever been "good" at Civ. I tend to just bumble my way to lower-difficulty culture victories. Cool to see your thought process; I've been watching you for a bit trying to understand what your approach is and it's nice to get a full breakdown like this.

£200 - Queen Seondeok of Silla (born Princess Deokman) had to prove to her father that she was worthy for the throne, else he'd pass it on to his son-in-law. She succeeded and she was named his successor. Some officials were not happy with this so they planned a rebellion to prevent her being crowned. Their plans were discovered and the rebellion quashed. As punishment, the instigators were executed at the University of Sankore.

on kr pronunciation: eo isnt pronounced as e and o separately: its a single vowel 어 and it's actually a very easy vowel to pronounce, somewhere between the o in "olive" and the u in "sun." so you could pronounce seowon as "saw won" and seondeok as "sun dock," approximately. this also means seoul is seo + ul = "saw ool" so it sounds more like "saul" than anything lol using eo for this vowel isnt great, but o and u are already taken for other sounds (their normal ones, so what english speakers know as long o and long u) so i kinda get it.

Thanks for this "over explained" video. You are very enjoyable to hang out with. Love the mellow jazz and your humor and obvious talent at this great game. What is it about the British accent that is so good to listen to? It gives you intelligence and authority-but you keep it nice and light with your jaunty sense of humor-well done.

Korea is probably one of the only two civs (the other being maya) that have a shot at early scientists. The deity AI regardless of their civ traits would mindlessly go for campuses and run campus projects in my game. I no longer have that problem after using the real strategy mod though.

Domination is my least earned victory condition. I'm just not aggressive enough. If I plan for war, its normally turn 60-80 before I attack my first civ which then leaves me struggling later especially if I'm behind in science on Diety.
@joaogomes94052 жыл бұрын
Domination used to be my least earned victory until I tried out Gran Colombia. They are so much fun, just moving a horde of guitar-wielding horsemen across the map in a couple of turns thanks to having a ridiculous 6 movement. Highly reccomend them for people who try out dom civs and struggle with combat mechanics.
