Not sure. They aren’t sleeves, by the way, they just collected Disney art, sized them to poker card size and sleeved them. They are each different to make inking less confusing for them.(as far as being able to see HOW MUCH lore is in their inkwell) When they ink, they place the inked card off screen, in a separate face down stack. Then they take one of these different sleeved home made cards and place it on the board, in their ink well. You would have to look at their play list, looking for when they started doing this and it’s like the second or third episode of them doing this when Nerd Girl mentions it. If you choose 9 pictures and just equally size them down to fit on a document, you could figure out the card size that way. Hope that helps.

I thought inked cards were supposed to be face down, especially as this helps identify them as not in play. Why are there players placing them face-up?

They are not real cards being played in the ink well. They are cover arts for old VHS! We did this because the backs of sleeves are hard to see on camera. So it is hard for viewers to see how many card are in the well.
