Do you know of situations where raw urushi will become opaque light brown when curing? I was attempting "fuki urushi" by curing in a very humid tuperware, placed on top of a heater. I did not wipe the excess urushi with a cloth. It cured quickly to a very opaque light brown color in a pattern that suggested it was caused by water vapor in the tuperware. It was very hard and I was able to remove it by sanding. I'm wondering if this effect can be used safely. And thanks very much for the detailed and helpful explanations in your videos! Look forward to seeing more in this space.
