Spent so much time at that drag strip. First time I had a hot dog there, I wondered how people could eat them. Tasted like they had powdered bones in them. By the end of the year, ... they weren't so bad. They cleaned your teeth.

@@aakar88 I met Broadway Bob one night. He was a little tipsy. Gave my friend and I free beer for the rest of the night. Good times.

@@happydays8171Last few years he owned The Grove you literally went into the twilight zone! The strippers, Bob meeting Robosaurus, nitro after midnite, the beer, the rides on top of jet dragsters. And most importantly the love he had for the fans and how he always made sure we had good times there!

Yes it is. I'd know because I grew up at this track. I saw Gary Gorman have a horrible accident at this track.

sure is. I lived there from 1976-1980
