Americans and Europeans did not stop engaging and trying to improve their relationship with China when it captured Indian territory and killed Indian soldiers. Why do they expect India to stop its engagement with Russia then?

Professor, you are based in US. Please convey in every forum you attend in US to convey, that India continues with its non allied policy. It pursues policies that suits it most. India aspires to be one of the poles in a multi polar world, and doesn’t want to be a vassal state of any country. Also , India is the only one billion plus market it has access to (other one being China, which they have shot themselves in the foot). Therefore its the US and the West who needs more India, than the other way round. Also India buys arms with hard cash unlike USA’s vassals, whom the US has to fund to keep its hegemony going. There’s nothing that the US has to offer that India cannot buy from anywhere else with hard cash. US needs to be mindful and handle with extra care, when it comes to India ! Jai Hind !

Proff.Sahab... Ur understanding is Clear. It is not Clear to the Friend that India stood Firmly with Nonalignment and founded it. China may be powerful and stretching it arms all around, but India is not so weak as to be cowed down. And fear mongering hardly helpful, war is not Easy Option to any one, now none will be Gainer. Better to fight a war than be under hegemony of assumed benefactor. India has Mental Equibrilum

As an INDIAN 🇮🇳 & HUMAN BEING when it's come to choose one side b/w RUSSIA - USA, I will say & choose Russia through the history, past, facts and trust...... America years by years losing his value and power because I'm damm sure America never want India 🇮🇳 growth & success or other any nation growth and peace because It's America who done blunder in other nation home land by using it for intrest, proffit through weapons industry, taken innocent lives, America never want peace in the world , and if America really want peace he comes at table during Russia-ukraine war instead of bring Nato and supplying weapon to Ukraine . And if you do search, read reports facts you will find it's America and cia who done more blunder in Asia by suppling and giving weapons to unmature, radicalics groups ......

If the US ambassador focuses on the history of the Indo-US relationship, he shouldn't have forgotten the US role during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. It is selective amnesia. Secondly, how can America be relied when they are covertly supporting the Khalistani secessionist movement by providing them political space.

1. It was the US that was keen to supply weapons to India to wean it away from Russia 2. India pays hard cash to buy weapons from the US, it's not aid 3. Trust is developed through actions - decades of funding and arming military dictator 🇵🇰, denying tech to 🇮🇳, and continuing to harbour people like Pannu who threatened Air India flight with violence..(background:Kanishka) .. Remember, it was the US that sent its naval fleet to threaten India when it was vulnerable in 1971 5. If US carries out its threat to break relationship with India, India has many choices in this multipolar world - it will be America's loss

Timing of Russian visit on such times was clearly in response of open American & other western regimen change effort in last election. True Friends never does that.. Also American friendship is not as mature to undermine it's time tested friendship. How amazing both USA & CHINA want against Indo-russian friendship...our doubt of SINO AMERICAN collaboration is proven right . No country has been supported for their permanent benefits as to China .

Do you really think, we should trust the us ?? Inspite of the fact that the US needs us in it's effort to checkmate China in the Indo-Pacific, look what tactics they adopted in the jet engine deal. They know how urgent these engines are for us. By merely doing lip service, the US cannot expect India to dance to it's tune. Secondly, strategic autonomy is very dear to us. God willing, we will not give in whatever it takes. Let's face it, even if India becomes totally self dependent as far as weapons are concerned, it will still not leave Russia. And, the reasons are simple. Russia held our hand when no one in the world was ready to do so. On the contrary, US constantly supported a dictatorship and the rest of the West followed in its tracks. Not only that, Russia was always a source of support at all the multi-material forums especially the UN.Had it not been so, India would have been facing UN Sanctions. Frankly, Russia has played a major role in the process of making india a major power in the world. Can we say this about any other country?? I am afraid not........

The way USA conducts it's foreign policy is totally out of sync with present day realities. The major reality is India has to feed 1.4 billion people, scour around the world for 85% of it's fuel needs to run it's economy and maintain integrity of it's borders in an increasingly hostile environment. In this situation USA wants to use India to maintain it's hegemony over China and Russia. This may be a priority for USA and its western allies but right now Indian priorities are not these. It has far smaller economy than China and also smaller defence capabilities. It is moving in a developmental path which requires peaceful environment. USA needs to aid and assist India (also mildly admonish it if any discrepancy like Pannun khalistan incident) to quickly lift India to a competitive level of China. A strong India will be a greater champion of democracy and US ally than what it is now.

What is the biggest hesitation and u may use the word fear , US has for india by not giving access to too much more highly sophisticated advance technology specially militry? Here I would like to point out that Brahmos missile was a joint venture program between Russia and India. Even after knowing that India and America are becoming close friends, the russian never pressurized Indians to not give the sophisticated technology of Brahmos to America. Becoz we know that Brahmos is the fastest supersonic cruse missile and US has not this till know Then why does America have the fear that if it gives advanced technology to India, it can reach Russia. But yes if it reaches Russia it will definitely accessible to china

Just goes to shows how scared USA is of Bharat and it's progress. BHARAT has it's own international policy and will not go against the well being of it's country men. If USA want's to be a part of the growing middle-class population of Bharat's economy then America will have to take a route in-between. America is expecting a one sided relationship, where all the chips are in American favor, which is not possible. Bharat has seen how much USA can be trusted at the time of war inthe year 1971. Thank you for all the help provided. As far as China is concerned, Bharat has always maintained a robust relationship with China

Since you got Pakistani mindset despit of being Indian so you want India to behave like Pakistan. India ne weapon manga, nope bought with hard cash. Aur USA ke saath sare deals remains only on paper like civil nuclear and now F414 engines. India China se pehle USA China war will happen in south china sea and believe me that will be end of USA as a superpower. India will never ever trust Americans and since USA is a declining power India should focus on its own manufacturing capacity to develop itself.

America has to understand that gone are the days when America could get away after threatening India and could bend us to toe their line. India clearly knows that no one is coming to fight for us with China, we are prepared to face it with our strength. India is not Pakistan so they should mind their language unless they want to get rebuffed by us. Mutual respect for each other is a must for long lasting relationships.
