@@garrettholcomb8154The 75th is the largest Special Operations infantry unit capable of carrying out HVT/High Risk Operations, as well as being Sufficiently trained in CQB situations. With around 2500 members, its sad to say but the army can loose a couple rangers and still function. The military looses a couple SF guys in an OP or Seals...and it's a bigger problem because there so few of those men. It's sad to that but I served in 1st Battalion so I'm not just some keyboard general. Obviously whatever we lost a person it affected us deeply on a personal level. But in a bigger picture it isnt as bad as the smaller units

@@tori9365 Well not as tough as other spec ops selection and training. Candidates only has to go through airborne school and RASP, which is a 2 months course. Then they can be part of the unit. Other spec ops selection and training like Navy SEAL's BUDS and SQT. Green Berets' SFAS and Q course. Air Force PJ & CCT pipeline. All these take more than a year. The best backup plan for those candidates, I would say is going into airborne unit.

Well RASP you gotta take. That's Ranger Assessment Selection Program, what puts you into a Ranger Battalion. Ranger School is just a leadership course, you don't have to do it and anybody can. With RASP you get put into a Ranger battalion and get the Ranger Scroll, with Ranger School you just get a Ranger tab.
