Atacms is a quick deployable tactical missile and Iskander is a short range strategic missile. You can’t rapidly fire one as an enemy target present itself, instead you plan for them to be fired as part of coordinated missile salvos against fixed targets like power supplies, factories or apartment blocks.

Right now ATACMS have been shifted to several areas around the South China Sea near Chinese illegal militarized artificial islands. These would be used to bring those bases under fire and neutralize them. This takes much pressure off the limited naval supply on US Task Forces if a war was to break out. Yes, as PrSM comes on line those will be immediately sent to the western Pacific where with the ranges stated would make them a very powerful support and deterrent because PrSM would be able to hit China from points in the southern Japanese island chain, Taiwan, and all around the island countries in the South China Sea. Then I can see all the extra ATACMS being moved to Eastern NATO countries and UKRAINE!

Building illegal islands to try to claim natural gas fields that already belong to Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, Malvasia and a few other countries. The US follows international law, call UNCLOS of which China was a major contributor to the treaty and was one of the first signatories. They currently are challenging open water rights of all these nations and they commonly challenge US warships almost colliding with them. They have actually collided with Philippine ships. So that's what the US is doing there. These illegal bases, ruled thus by the UNCLOS Court, have been militarized and would be used in case of a Taiwan invasion.

What are the costs per PrSM missile? My (only) problem with ATACMS, GMLRS and PrSM is their horrendous costs. And that leads me to the suspucion, that there's a lack of a working market for such weapons. I'm pretty sure, if US Army would define a platform and its demands, it could allow more competition - e.g. with european companies like MBDA or Rheinmetall.

Whatever happened to smokeless propellants? Maybe it doesn't matter if launching far from the front. But if you're using a ramjet, I would think you could take the small performance hit with double base or triple base propellants. People, wake up..... Russia is in the midst of a war time economy production rates.. Thus way they're able to significantly outproduce the combined arms and ammunition output of NATO countries. Russia is churning out 2 million shells and1500 tanks a year and over 100 long range missiles a month. We need to take this seriously and although it's unreasonable to expect USA, Germany, Spain or Belgium transferring to war economy now, we can still significantly ramp up production of 155mm shells, GMLRS, PRsM, Javelins, Patriot and NASAMS interceptors.... Combined we have a 30 times larger economic output than a 3rd world country like Russia. Let's move and start being serious about this.. OK?

I'm not talking about the first Gulf War where they folded once they saw an Apache helicopter. i'm talking about a real modern conflict I'm glad we are building new weapons. I really hope we are doing something to combat countermeasures and electronic warfare. as an American I am supposed to support Ukraine For some reason because there are democracy or something.? they are not. I happen to support Russia's operation for a couple of reasons one the United States would do the same thing if China was to go into Mexico and do the same thing nato is doing to Ukraine. that's why I support Russia I mean this is their border if you were Russian would you want nato on your border? lol probably not how about this better question we are American do you want the Chinese communists on the Mexican border with the military and economic alliance? No no we don't. But I really hope America can start producing some good weapons, the atacms has actually been very good in Ukraine until Russia has been able to jam those munitions with gps jammers. This is a actual known fact look up what the four star American general in charge of the European command said about that. China is obviously watching this war as closely as we are. Every single thing the United States of America operates has some type of GPS. We only have about 30 GPS satellites and most of them are old. So in a peer to peer war how likely is it that the United States would be crippled by the very system that was created For military means? I grew up in 1990 we had the best stuff back then we were years and years ahead of everyone else. Just put this into perspective if the United States was to get in a long engagement with China how likely is it we are going to prevail? here is a scary fact one Chinese shipyard has the ability to outproduce the entirety of the United States in shipbuilding. that's one shipbuilder. china has hundreds. china has 200 times the ship building capacity Then the United States. our very own institute for the studies of war ran multiple simulations and they have come to the same conclusion that America would lose two aircraft carriers in the first week of major conflict with China. so my question is what are we doing in terms of policy with China. Taiwan is the world's most advanced semiconductor manufacturer And if we let China take Taiwan that will give China a true monopoly on semiconductors across the world. TSMC has not put the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing in the United States that will remain in Taiwan and if China does reunify Taiwan like they said they would that means they would be in control of the Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer company. I don't know it feels like the United States is losing its position and power on the world stage I'm sure it's not just me that feels that way The last 10 years I've been sensing a shift. that's even getting worse now that we're doubling down on Russia. In fact we barely even say the name Russia anymore we say Putin's illegal invasion It's almost like we're trying to draw some kind of similarities between now and World War Two We barely ever mentioned Germany it was always Hitler hitler Putin Trump. do you see how they tried to put the person responsible instead of the country? they're trying to alienate People like Trump and Putin To draw similarities to Hitler. it's pretty weird honestly it feels like the United States of America is the enemy nowadays. I supported our attack on Iraq after the towers fell. but after growing up and realizing we had absolutely no business in Iraq at all and we are responsible for hundreds of thousands of innocent women and children killed. yeah are we the good guy anymore? And before you get **** hurt responding to this I support Russia I support Israel death to Hamas. I know that confuses you That's one thing that's great about being an American I have the ability to choose who I support. but because I support Russia over Ukraine I'm the enemy? that sounds like something Nazi Germany would be doing, do we really live in a democracy though??
