Here's my take on the magazines for what it's worth. NYC centered, as if the world begins and ends in New York. Most of us have no desire to live in NYC. Products reviewed seem to mostly come from the same set of manufacturers. Kind of a 'good old boys' club. If reviewers are not willing to spend their own $ on the gear they review, I'm not interested. And not 'industry accommodation' prices.

I'm trying to get my ducks in a row before the 2024 election, because higher tariffs will increase prices for consumers of electronics, auto parts, apparel and other items. I don't expect that manufacturers already under severe market stresses will decrease prices in response to higher import tariffs. As usual, these increased costs will be passed on to consumers.
