ये कहानी शुरु होती है 3 अगस्त 1492 से. सैंटा मारिया, पिंटा और नीना नाम के 3 शिप स्पेन के समंदर से रवाना हुए. ये तीनों ship एशिया की खोज में निकले थे और इन्हें lead कर रहे थे Christopher Columbus
.12 अक्तूबर जब उन्हें अचानक जमीन नज़र आई. Columbus को लगा कि उसने भारत खोज लिया है. लेकिन वो बिल्कुल नहीं जानते थे कि उन्होंने जिसे खोजा था वो India नहीं बल्कि America था. सालों बाद एक और सेलर Amerigo Vespucci ने उन्हें बताया कि ये भारत नहीं बल्कि एक नया continent है.
आज अमेरिका वर्ल्ड की सबसे बड़ी Superpower है, इसके पास दुनिया की 6 % जमीन है.एरिया के हिसाब से ये Russia और Canada के बाद दुनिया का तीसरा सबसे बड़ा देश है. अमेरिका के पास दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी economy है. इसकी GDP 20 trillion डॉलर से भी ज़्यादा है. World की GDP में अकेले अमेरिका का Contribution 26% है. वहीं दुनिया में सबसे ज़्यादा Olympic मेडल्स, नोबेल प्राइज़, फेमस कंपनीज भी अमेरिका के पास ही है. इसके पास 70 से भी ज़्यादा देशों में 800 से ज़्यादा मिलिट्री बेस है इसी वजह से अमेरीकन आर्मी को दुनिया में सबसे ज़्यादा powerful माना जाता है. दुनिया में अमेरिका का दबदबा है तभी तो कहते हैं कि “When America Sneezes The World catches a cold”. लेकिन सवाल आता है कैसे?...एक वक्त पर यूरोप का गुलाम रहने वाला अमेरिका आज इतना ताकतवर कैसे बन गया?. किन लोगों ने अमेरिका को आजाद करवाया?. कैसे ये यूरोपियन कंट्रीज से आगे निकला?.
