I want to thank the spokesman from the US Embassy in New Delhi for his kind words on the need for direct talk between the Chinese government and Tibtan exile government. But in practice, unfortunately, what could come out is "hope for the best and prepare for the worst".Hope for the best should mean one day the cessation of preparation for the worst. So a long very long way and hard work ahead of us. This time the US is seems to be serious to accompany us on our journey to the completion. And I want to thank the spokesman once more in anticipation.!! Another indispensable friend to accompany us on our journey to the destination is India. In the past India hesitated. Had there been a determined and full cooperation between India and America in1950s Tibet could have been rescued. Now Pandit Nehru's leftish infatuation and a sense of solidity with a big rising fellow asian power no longer exists. I think India made a full reassessment of the "Chinese friendship" It is likely because of this reassessment and Indian support to Tibetan refugees for over a half century, I am sure India wants an acme. That acme would be to continue to accompany the Tibetan journey to the very end with the USA without reservation but with required sacrifice. Restoration of Tibet to her right owner- Tibetans- is a tremendous victory for Indian security for years to come. Gain for India is more than for America. Now it is time to make this happen.!!!

Xi is now seeking talks with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, perhaps he should give the young Chinese hope again? At the moment, the Chinese economy is doing really badly, young people are unemployed, end up on the streets because they can no longer afford housing and there is no one to support them, which is supposedly only the case in the USA. Anyone over 30 is considered too old for a job. We don't wish the young Chinese any misfortune, they just want to have a good future like everyone else.
