Not one of Ben Hodges' predictions has come to fruition. In fact, less than a month ago, he claimed Ukraine's counteroffensive would be swift and successful, Russia's defenses would crumble, and Crimea would be recaptured by the end of summer. 😂😂😂

Everyone knows that it's in Ukraine's best interests that tens' more thousands of their young men meet their death prematurely to take back what is now a wasteland - it's not about the benefits to arms dealers or using a proxy war in the game of geopolitics, at all. This is a plain and simple, binary (good v evil) situation - 'we' are the ones who will be using cluster bombs in an inclusivie, diverse and #bekind manner ("inclusive" in that children can be ripped apart by them too, maybe decades after they were dropped - and that proves the Woke West isn't ageist!). Say "no" to peace talks and lets keep escalating until our own children can get fried in WW3. When that happens, that will all be down to the actions of one bully.

So the aggressor Russia is allowed to use cluster munitions while the injured nation, fighting an existential struggle, is not allowed to use them? An explanation is required. If you have a weapon of equal battlefield efficiency, please supply them to Ukraine quickly. Banning the use of landmines is another of those things that does not work in an existential struggle against an aggressor. Russia is using a lot of land mines too, also banned in many nations.

I think Biden shares the view of many NATO countries that a negotiated settlement to the war is better than an outright Ukrainian victory with all Russian troops driven out of Ukraine. That means he wants Ukraine to trade territory (particularly Crimea and southeastern Donbas) for peace. An outright Ukrainian victory humiliates Putin and makes a nuclear escalation much more likely.

Ukraine is trying to 'take' Crimea and has been stuck on the Russian screening positions for over 6 weeks with huge casualties. The myth of the western wonder-weapons has been destroyed and Germany is desperately trying to relabel its tanks as 'Ukrainian tanks' to avoid the shame of their defeat. Ukrainian casualties will rocket if they ever reach the main Russian line and those without a horse in the race understand that if this offensive fails Ukraine will be forced to negotiate with Russia when NATO abandons her. What we have here is a very biased Radio Station that had been promoting western propaganda as fact and is too heavily invested in the outcome to provide a balanced view. Ukraine being at war is the overriding issue. Corruption is not the overriding issue. NATO cannot afford to be dragged into a direct conflict with Russia. The risk / reward is not there. This war is likely to be a long slog as it is, let alone expansion of the conflict via NATO's direct involvement ) i.e. boots on ground, jets, missiles ). Also China and some other nations have to be factored into that expansion. A very dark place for the world.

And to think that Trump would end it in 24hrs, goes to show what the Demoncrats want, and its not peace, didn't the west promise Eastward expansion and yet it has expanded, the idea that Ukraine is protecting Europe is fear mongering by this general or military person, isnt it a fact that NATO has expanded east towards Russia, its like a person walking towards you with an headfirst and then when it collides with your fist then its your fault, isnt this similar, WE are expanding East towards Putin, if he did the same we would not accept this, there has to be a compromise for peace, I dont want my Children to die for this expansion.

...here is a question for the general Hodges: in what Ukraine is protecting Europ ??? So far, Russia has never shown any kind of aggressive behaviour towards any country of Europ, and on the contrary, tried to reach compromises, including the Minsk agreement and the following attempts to negociate with Ukraine...refused by the USA and NATO. Besides, Russia never intended to "invade" Ukraine, with a force in the beginning, of 150 000 men...I remind here that in 1940, they were three million Germans to invade my country. Moreover, it's not Russia which move to European countries, but NATO which moved towards the Russian borders, including Georgia in 2008. On top of that, I've never heard the general Hodges speaking of a possible general agreement for peace between NATO and Russia, which would solve the security problem for good.

It's not about bravery it's about caution. Putin is losing and would love an excuse to use his nukes. As the US did to end WW2. He has said he would if existentially threatened. NATO suddenly right up to his western border could be put to his people as such a threat. As Cuba was to the US and that was a near thing. So let's not forget the worst case scenario here which this war could easily spark off. Luckily saner heads in Washington and Berlin think the same.

The most way NATO could be brave is continuous supply of Ukraine with weapon . Admitting Ukraine to NATO is careless way of starting war with Russia. Also, you can’t admit Ukraine to deactivate the article of the formation of NARO. NATO must immediate get involved with the war to start attacking Russia. The wisest decision prevails that Ukraine can’t be admitted now. The issue of corruption is weak but the article on war against each member state makes the most sense.
