What could the future of politics look like for the country? Leave your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!

Fiona is always interesting to listen to. Its unfortunate that this is well over a year old though. The EU made it through the winter ok, Ukraine is even exporting electricity. The real question is after the bizarre Wagner mutiny whether Putin will make it to winter. You had a battallion sized force heading towards Moscow with basically dump trucks full of sand and some torn highways to try to stop it. Putin vowed to punish the traitors but suddenly all charges were dropped and Prigozhin went to exile along with his men. Next PUtin thanked everyone who stood up for Russia which was even more interesting because other than the few pilots that were shot down, pretty much no one did anything. That's the most telling thing. Looking through history books what happens to failed coup plotters? they are paraded, imprisoned, executed. Not peacefully exiled. This is the beginning of the end of Putin.

The logic has been clear and simple all along, Putin has/will continue to do anything in his capabilities to destroy any opposition in Ukraine that isn't likely to draw in other combatants, Zelinksy/Ukraine has only two choices in this scenario, unconditional surrender, or damage/destroy as much of Russian military (including their moral) in any way possible that doesn't cause other countries to reconsider their support. In any war, once the first shot is fired, morality, honor, and ethics take a backseat to pragmatics

It's irrelevant how great or terrible anyone thinks of the US, or NATO, or the European Union is, Ukraine's fight is existential, logic dictates they get what help they can from any source. It's also an existential struggle for Putin's continued reign, if he wants to remain in absolute authority, he must see the destruction of any meaningful resistance in Ukraine, he can/will/has done everything possible that doesn't increase the possibility of other countries getting involved directly. Literally none of these combatants have the luxury of caring about the morals of any group that supports or opposes them. Pearl clutching and faux outrage is all well and good during peacetime, but is of little use in a fire fight.

It's in Trump's genes and upbringing. Trump's father Fred was arrested in New York City in 1927, when a group of Klansmen got into a brawl with police officers during a Memorial Day parade in Queens. There is a document trail, and the names, dates, and addresses match up. The New York Times published a story about the riot and the seven men who were arrested; Fred Trump is mentioned by name. His address is given at 175-24 Devonshire Road, Jamaica, New York City, and the federal census of 1930 shows that Fred Trump resided there.

A hugely longwinded way of asking a question. Maybe you should let your guest speak occasionally.

No-nonsense Fiona Hill - No wonder Dump couldn't abide her. Intelligence expressed in a British accent - especially a down-to-earth Geordie one - conveys thoughtfulness, and always inspires trust and confidence.

That was January 6th, 2021 done by a political party that is supported by a huge swath of the American population. That was a REAL coup attempt. In Russia, no population segment rose up to support Prigozhin's stunt to replace the Defense Minister

A rather unintelligent question, in my humble opinion, time started running out for President Putin, ( that,s his title for those ignorant people who don't no), the day he was handed the job, just as it is with all leaders in this world.
