US House passes $95B Ukraine, Israel aid package

Republicans and Democrats had strong reactions on Saturday after the U.S. House of Representatives, with broad bipartisan support, passed a $95-billion legislative package providing security assistance to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan over bitter objections from Republican hardliners.
The vote on passage of the Ukraine funding was 311-112. However, significantly, 112 Republicans opposed the legislation, with only 101 in support.
Far-right Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene told reporters afterwards that Speaker of the House Mike Johnson was a "lame duck." She has been a leading opponent of helping Ukraine in its war against Russia and has taken steps that threaten to remove Johnson from office over this issue, though she stopped short of doing so on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Democrat Jared Moskowitz called Greene "a menace to the country" while praising Johnson, saying "the Speaker rose to the occasion."

There must be a deal between the white house and each respective nations that received the money. Ukraine would allow the US a priority in rebuilding. Military partnership with Israel would improve. Taiwan alone has spent $20 billion US dollars purchasing F-16V and Abrams tank, this aid package would only incentivize them to buy more. All of these will create even more jobs in the future.

It doesn't work like that. Homes cost money, and plenty of people are against spending money on things they don't personally benefit from. When plans to do so are discussed, everybody fights for it to not be in their neighborhood in particular. A lot of homeless people aren't homeless because they don't lack money or means to find a place to live. A lot of them are mentally ill or seriously hooked on drugs. Also, a lot of homeless projects end up getting scrapped because of people not wanting to live near them. So no, it's not that much of a corruption problem, as it is a society problem.

The interesting part of that is, that the majority of the money is spent in the US, to US firms, to replace second hand weaponry and munitions that is actually shipped to Ukraine. This is product that was already paid for. Weapons systems and ammunition that is scheduled to be replaced. Decommissioning costs US taxpayers money. Ultimately, it sounds like your issue is with the US military complex and systems of government which are vulnerable to corruption, outside influence and cash based lobbying.
