First, and keep it in mind: I support peace and wish a prosperous future and self governing society for Israelites and the Palestine Arabs. And Hamas has much popularity, so don't think all the Palestine Arabs are that innocent. Of course there wel willing Palestine Arabs. For those this is a drama that they don't deserve this. And the children are suffering. Israel should never alloud Gaza to govern itself. The same problem in the Westbank. You can forget a two state solution now I'm afraid. Israel need those fences. They need those walls. They need some control. It is not like the Palestine Arabs are that we'll equipped as a selfgoverning society. It's not that they are angels and don't have a part in this conflict. There not all that innocent. Israel can not just take their hands of it, especially not in relation to the safety of Israel. Just look what happens in Gaza. Didn't turn well. Don't turn things around. And now Israel needs to go to war. Terrible for the Gaza civilians. The parents (not all) of these children chose for Hamas and the destruction of Israel. These children got punished by their hate. I don't like to see that. And yes, I believe in honest Palestine Arabs that wants to coexist. But also a lot that want Israel of the map. And it is not that Israel doesn't do crimes, but the main intention is they want peace. And like in all wars there terrible incidents and that should be spoken out loud. But during all the years of this conflict, a two state was a solution for both people in the area of plastine (and a great part was a wasteland the 19th century). Both people lived in that area and after the British left, both people wanted a country in that area. For the Jews a part of the area.for the Arabs the whole area. But the Palestine (the Area) Arabs as Palestine Jews could get a lot of land. Enough to coexist. Trans Jordan was a very large piece of land. At least Israel tried to make agreements for peace since 1947. And some Palestine Arabs also, nut most didn't want a Jewish state there, even they weren't a selfgoverning society with its own boundaries. But now it's war. And as long we speak about occupation and oppression, we don't see the origen and complexity of this long lasting conflict. There could be a two state solution many times. When Arab Palestines (not all) rejected that, bomb and attack with rockers after peace negotiations, they play the victim. But when an initiator of war loses the war (and there was no legimit reason for war to begin with, do careful research about this about the history of both people the last 150 years) it makes them very bad losers and even more bad victims. And teaching their children (on school!) they need to hate Jews, makes that I don't believe in the victimhood of these Palestine Arabs. Again, there were and are well willing Arab Palestines that want peace and moving forward for their children, but as long there entities like Hamas, that ain't gonna happen. It is in favour for the Palestines that these terrorist in this war will be wiped out of the earth. Those that are even calling their own people to die for them and hide in schools and Hospitals. But that doesn't mean that by that Israel should not defent itself against this enemy. One thing I want, is that the Palestine people that are innocent get refuge, food, water and healthcare. I know, this is a whole other level of discourse, one that not many people can actually be engaged in. He ACTUALLY KNOWS what he's talking about, it's not speculation or conjecture. We, regular people, are not like U.S. armed forces veterans, we're just not. It requires a lot of very specific training and education to actually have an informed opinion about this. I really recommend everyone watches this interview because he's not like everybody else anyone has ever had on.

@@samf.s.7731 Couldn't agree with you more Mr. Ritter is point on in this and much of what he says. He has the experience, credentials and the pureness of insight to express the naked, cold, hard facts. He makes more sense than any of the biased mouthpieces spouting their ignorance to sway public, political opinion. Unless I'm missing something, I'd say, in my years of military and othe experiences he'd make a great leader.
