Since 1776 when it became independent, the U.S. has been engaged in wars 93% of the time, i.e. 230 years by now. Since 1991 when the Soviet Union collapsed, the U.S. has launched well over 200 military interventions overseas according to U.S. Congressional Research Service. During that same time period, Russia launched 5 & China 0 such interventions. Furthermore, during its history as an independent country, the US has assassinated dozens of political & military leaders & organized tens of coups on foreign soil. In particular, between 1947 and 1991, the U.S. organized 64 such covert coups all over the world. This evidence alone is enough to prove that the U.S. is the biggest threat to democracy & peace on earth. P.S. The U.S. also hired and protected Hitler's chief of Eastern European intelligence after WW2 along with his entire network of spies, operatives, and collaborators throughout the region. After WW2 ended, veterans of the multiple Ukrainian Nazi military units launched a guerilla war, backed by the U.S. cash and weapons, that lasted for 10 years. The few survivors of this guerilla war were eventually resettled in Canada and the vast majority in the U.S. These survivors and the ultra-nationalists inside Ukraine have been nurtured, financed and armed ever since by the CIA.

How dare the US oppose it after ww2 what with their... *checks notes* occupation and genocide of foreign nations and open stated stance of the eventual destruction of the United States and all of it's allies. After 1991 the Russian Federation got significant support including debt forgiveness (nobody demanded that they stick to their debts and allowed them to default.) In fact there was rather foolish support of Russian intervention in a series of Eastern European matters. Russia invading it's neighbors has a long history and the west actively supported it as a process of "stabilization." Only in about 2008 did we start realizing what was really happening, the Russian federation trying to restore old imperial borders not because of some idea of glory but about geographic defensive positions. The Russian goal isn't Ukraine, it's the Carpathian mountains on the other side, a defensible series of geography.

The truly sad part is that when it all comes down to it, the United States does not really care if Ukraine loses the war. Because the US military industrial complex is raking in money by the truckloads literally every day the war goes on. So even if Ukraine loses (which is almost inevitable at this point), the US, or at least the US government get something out of it.

Ukraine spent 8 years before this started putting defences in, they killed thousands of civilians, they had songs on the radio, national folk songs, about the Asov Nazi's being "the last white hope", they have seen Russia roll over those defences, they have seen the Asov's and their stronghold, a place that could withstand nuclear attacks, get, "liberated", they have seen Russia push back on the things they said were red lines to American aggression/encroachment and that now Poland has said no more, America is stopping the money, without America, this would never have started and now Ukraine is broke and broken, soon about to be cold, half a million men dead or injured, millions displaced, and America saying we "got rid of our junk drawer" and waving good bye saying " thanks for the bucks" Yeah I think there are plenty who can see
