By winning the US Open Cup, then CONCACAF Champions League, then the Club World Cup, an amateur group of Americans could be champions over even the biggest clubs in the world. Amateur teams have beaten an MLS opponent before at least seven times in Open Cup history, most recently Cal FC over Portland on May 29, 2012. It hasn't happened since, and only the Michigan Bucks have managed it twice ever, though not in the same tournament. ...But you can still dream.

I think they should give prize money to the lower leagues for the team in the lower leagues that made it the furthest in the competition. Does everyone get nothing except the winner and runner up? Like if I run a 5k, many events give awards to runners for best in your age group for instance, not just overall winner. I'm likening best in your age group to best on your level. So best amateur club, best division 3, best division 2.

So ducking Confused... Currently watching in 23 and the leagues final just happened between Nashville and Miami Aug 19is then they have quarterfinals? Which happened in June? Now they have semifinals Aug 23? Wtf am I missing?

Leagues Cup is different from US Open Cup. Two different competitions completely. US Open Cup is just for MLS/USL teams, and Leagues Cup includes Mexican teams in addition to MLS
