I remember as a child in the late 70's that it was law to wear a seatbelt in South Africa. I remember because my father was a farmer, and then most pickups did not have seat belts so my dad dit not have to worry about it. I think it became law in S.A for passengers to wear seatbelts in '96
@JJSmith11004 жыл бұрын
It became law for front occupants in the 1970's, by 1987/8 it became law that seat belts had to be fitted to the rear of new vehicles as well and in 1996 the laws was re-written and it became compulsory for front and rear occupants to wear seat belts.

Making everyone lose there jobs and homes and then spent $20 billion to build all of the stadiums. Making the already extreme poverty in Rio even worse. So it was kinda stupid, but it did look nice when the Olympics were on, but then they never used the stadium’s after that. Only rich/stable countries should host the olympics in my opinion because we already have the infrastructure there, we don’t need spend billions on new stadiums. And the governments of developing economies can actually spend there money on helping people get out of poverty, instead of getting international clout.

This was fun and I learned which of the nations has the oldest mountain range. The others I either knew or remembered from when they’ve talked about their home nations on their channel (which is awesome and people should definitely subscribe to it if they enjoyed this video) like about the highest bungee jump in South Africa. As an American the only reason I assumed the postage stamp for mail came from the UK was that prior to the American Revolution the Stamp Act was among the myriad of laws that were passed by Parliament that the colonists called “Intolerable Acts.” I figured it wasn’t much of a leap to go from what was contained in the Stamp Act to postage stamps so figured the UK probably did it first either at home or somewhere in their empire. I figured that the US would’ve only reluctantly adopted such a practice later after some other place had done it and it proved successful for improving mail service. Great video! Enjoyed it!

I want to correct the champagne thing. Christopher created a new bottling technique for champagne. However the actual liquid was created by French monks in the 1500s. Modern day champagne is made in France. It is actually illegal to market sparking wine as champagne if it is made outside of the champagne region in France. So actual champagne has and will forever will be French. The English just added a new technique of creation.

Aboriginals older than Khoisans? This can't be true
@hezekielmanenzhe68594 жыл бұрын
@Megan-Rose Witness I am aware that San and Khoi were two separate groups, I was not aware that they are people who take offense to using term "khoisan", my apologies, if San people inhabited Southern Africa about +200 000 years, and Aboriginals about 50 000, wouldn't that make Sans older than Aboriginals ? I am also aware there are other people in Tanzania if I am not mistaken who are as old as Khoi and San people(i read this long ago I stand to be corrected)
