USA 1941 - On the brink of war - The battle of Louisiana. It’s the fall of 1941, and the 1941 maneuvers were the largest ever conducted by the U.S. Army. And in september that year some 400 000 men were involved in what was called the Louisiana Maneuvers. It helped to develop the combined-arms doctrine, with infantry-artillery teams supported by independent tank battalions as its centerpiece, that prevailed during the war.
