There is a beautiful story about it .years ago when iranian sport official (Mr Ghafori Fard) visited Cuba , Castro told to him (iran never can have a good volleyball team becouse of heights of players , you have not tall payers ) Iranian official said that was a very bad memory for me and after coming to iran , i really started to finding tall and talented players across the country and finally it worked ......❤

That’s a great story. Never under estimate the Iranian pride and stubbornness. My sister list a lot weight and stayed thin after one of her friends told her a pretty dress would never good on her beautiful she was fat. Now, who’s going to peeoff the soccer association?

what an amazing nation. fairly great great rankings on every sport you name. Football 18th, Voleyball 6th to 11th . basketball15th , futsall 4th , beach football 1st or 2nd . Heavy lifting always on podium, wrestling the among top 2 , taekwoondo always 3-4 stars in world stage, karate the same. olympics always among top 20 nations. this is amazing a country that despite all these sanctions and hardships , and on the contrary of arab countries who literally buy athletes for medals and chnage nationality, with only 80 million people, shines this much . compare Iran to its neighboring countries : Turkey, Pakistan, afghanistan, saudi arabia, iraq , qatar , emirates , egypt , aljeria . not comparable at all

Iran is by far the better team. They gave away a lot of the points. They need to improve their service. Lot of the service balls ended up in the net. Otherwise, this game should have been put away by Iran a long time ago. And why didn't Iran medal in the Olympics? WTF is up with that. The best Volleyball coach that ever lived was my own father. Why he was so great, because he trained a high school team that beat the Iranian National Olympic team. Lot of his players went national as a result. Bunch of young high schoolers. Also, my father was known for inventing a specific volleyball service move. If you can do that as a volleyball coach, you are the greatest coach of volleyball. Iran has a very strong history in Volleyball, much stronger than USA. The sad part of all this is that, when we became refugees in USA, thanks to overthrow of the Shah and his stupid weak regime and Jimmy Carters economic sanctions due to hostage crisis not supporting any democratic factions in Iran. My dad ended up working minimum wage jobs the rest of his life in the USA. Here the greatest Volleyball Coach having a language barrier and never recognized for his achievements and talents in professional sports. Let's all thank the conflict situation between Iran and USA for that. Many lives destroyed since 1978-79.

Great play by the lions of Iran, That’s how it’s done 💪🏻☀️🇮🇷 I played volleyball in high school, then coached back in Tehran, volleyball is very technical and strength requiring game, the thing is this sport is very popular globally except USA, while Americans play their “football” and baseball etc. more like a show business and we never see the world sport news on the TV. The rest of the world enjoys this super fun game…Men’s volleyball is never understood/taken serious by Americans … watching this game seems like Americans are disrespecting the game of volleyball they have basketball shirts and that stupid looking tennis player headband on one of the players, they probably think it’s cool to be different … but looks ridiculous and disgraceful….on the other hand you see how passionate, serious and smart are Iranian volleyball players. volleyball is a sport of respect, discipline, technique and strategy… Americans will never comprehend this game as long as there’s this no cultural and arrogance barrier in America.
