Jason did you have to go to a tryout before you played in cary and what age did u start really getting involved in training working out hitting fielding all the time and have you got any scholarship offers or scouts really look at you
@JasonKnine10 жыл бұрын
I started working hard when I was 9. A player can fill out a player profile form on USABaseball.com for this event and maybe get an invite. I verbally committed to UCF and have been in front of pro scouts this year. So hopefully.

I need to work on my range, speed, and arm strength, and drop at least 15-20 lbs in 5 months for varsity tryouts. I'm 5'7 close to 180 lbs 2B. Any ideas or tips to help me out? Anything would be appreciated. Thanks.
@JasonKnine10 жыл бұрын
BaseballKidd15 Speed work 2 times a week. A band and strength training routine 3 days a week. Hitting 4 or 5 days a week. A throwing routine before tryouts so the tryouts don't kill your arm. Obviously fielding when you can if your in a cold weather state. You got time, don't go crazy on your diet. Eliminating junk food and working out might be all you need to lose the weight.

I'm in North Carolina and field pretty much every day. Thanks for the advice man, much appreciated.

Do you have to pay to play on a national team or play in this tournament?
@JasonKnine10 жыл бұрын
USA baseball in different. You don't pay for anything. They're sponsored by MLB. Not sure about everything, but for the TOS they pay for your travel and you stay with a teammate at a host families house for the whole tournament. Trust me it works out great. Most of the host families have been doing this for awhile and they're the best. Best tournament of the year by far. Nothing else even close.
@juansiliezar811810 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks and I'm from Long Island, New York do you know any good travel teams up here I'm currently playing for storm baseball academy. I'm really working to play college baseball I'm 5'9 145 class of 2017 2B. I'm very good defensively but still working on my hitting and there aren't any colleges I would to play for in New York so how can I try and get my name out to coaches from other states.
@JasonKnine10 жыл бұрын
juan siliezar Tri-State Arsenal is up near you. You have to do showcases/tournaments that college coaches and scouts attend to get exposure, especially during your junior year. Another great way to get seen or exposure is college camps. I know players who got college offers from attending camps. Keep working hard bro.
@juansiliezar811810 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks I'm already on storm this year but I'll probably try out for arsenal for the summer
@juansiliezar811810 жыл бұрын
And one last thing would you recommend area code games or trying out for a usa if I want to get the most exposure possible?
@GonzoBeCrazyYo10 жыл бұрын
maple or ash
@JasonKnine10 жыл бұрын
The bat I cracked? Ash
@GonzoBeCrazyYo10 жыл бұрын
so maple lol i cracked a maple bat on the 1st bat i hit with it i think it was because i hit it with the label facing the pitcher not me
@JasonKnine10 жыл бұрын
GonzoBeCrazyYo Doesn't matter where you hit the ball on a maple bat. On Ash you should hit it on the edge grain, only so it does not flake.
