I may revisit Army Navy. My review for the burger and a burrito is I'm not coming back. That chicken meal will probably be my choice when I give it a second chance. I enjoy your content.

I want to thank you for your videos, wished I met you when I was there around 2010. My wife and I tried several businesses there in Lipa. A internet shop, Rapid One Day laundry, and Little Davey's fast foods. Now that I finally retired, we are planning to move back to the Lipa area. We might consider to rent a house in the Sub Division you show until we secure our own land. We want to have a small farm to grow organic vegetables. We like the Matass Na Kahoy area over by the Air Force base, it is higher in altitude, some of the land overlooks Taal Lake. Would like to have coffee with you and your wife. My wife is from there and we have a 12 year old son that was born there. We live 30 miles east of Dallas, TX now. I can't wait to get back there. When I was last there, I had to stress about making money to stay there. Now, I have my SS and a small pension. Plus my wife is young and could work if needed, I will do something still. I will turn a hobby into making a little money. Mainly to stay busy when not supporting my son's love for Basketball. I am Randall

Hi Stanley. I have a question that came up listening to another video blogger in BGC. I was going to email it, but then I figured the answer may interest your other viewers. He said that landlords in the Philippines nearly always asked for first, last, and deposit essentially 3 months rent, sometimes more, and all landlords insisted on postdated checks on a local bank and never cash or any other payment. Is there any truth in what he says? Appreciate your answer and keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to meeting you next year.

Hello brother, I have heard of some landlords asking for post dated checks but I would steer clear of those. Most will accept cash, Gcash, and bank transfer. They almost always want 3 months up front. The amount that is the deposit will be refunded. Thanks for the question🙂

@stanleyandjenlyncrum7582 that's great. His video had me really worried as I don't mind telling you the possibilities of finding one of the places you showcase and calling it home next spring has been my plan. I wouldn't mind the 3 or even 6 months in advance, but I know getting a local bank account isn't possible for at least a couple of months. And too, I plan to keep my current bank account here in Tennessee for direct deposit of my social security and then transfer via my business PayPal account as needed. Thanks, Stanley, for the info.

Hell I spend that for myself and it's just for me at a buffet. And I only have 1 plate. 2 if I'm lucky. And it cost 21.bucks plus a 3 to 4 dollars tip.

A place offering food aimed at expats, specifically Americans and maybe Canadian. Does that mean there's a big population of such expats in the Lipa area?
@stanleyandjenlyncrum758227 күн бұрын
There are quite a few expats here. We are just not as large a fraction of the population as say Dumaguete. Thanks for watching the video 🙂
