Thanks Guys for visting my farm. Video turned out wonderful! Mark

You have a beautiful farm sir. You mentioned your deep well tapped into salty water. Is it fair to say that anywhere in your property you try and drill you will hit salty water? We have a property about 1km away from the ocean. Is it possible to hit fresh water for livestock to drink being so close to the ocean? I've heard mixed opinions.

@@poultryboy1984 We had drilled a few different locations at my farm all yielding the same water parameters. I would say if your 1000 meters from the ocean it would be risky to drill for freshwater unless there are other wells in the area producing freshwater. You would need to drill a pilot borehole for testing.

I didn’t hear it, & I will say I agree with many commenters that Sir Mark is brilliant & brave. No risk no reward, as the saying goes. But risk is very tough for many of us to face. On only one point did iI hope M&B didn’t believe Sir Mark; it IS possible to still travel with a baby & or child. Yes there are hurdles, but if they ever change their plans…..they can STILL/ALWAYS travel (imo). Now gonna replay to see if I hear B….

Rewatching & one point-kinda critical, I don’t like to do that but I’m wondering…., just my preference & realize that is my own personal culture; maybe they did introductions off camera. At start, I wish Mr. Mark J would’ve also introduced his foreman? Workers? Relatives? to Michael & Bianca. I didn’t notice before as I often only listen first run through TPL vlogs, while doing chores. I realize how he understands the culture as he is married to a Filipina & has lived there for years, which I can’t say! But it hit me kinda off….
@wintersojourn9356 Жыл бұрын
Lastly new topic for Davina B, cute tune goes with these lyrics we sang as kids taught by my Phil relatives : “Picking rice is never fun. Bent from morn to the setting Sun. Cannot stand & cannot sit. Cannot rest for a little bit!”. We sang it when picking string beans at our neighbor’s farm after the machinery picked. 😆
@wintersojourn9356 Жыл бұрын
Wait, I think the people around Mr. Mark were actually M&B’s people, meaning they brought them with them. I think that is the Mayor Emeritus. I watched the Xmas great videos with him & his family & ancestral home. But didn’t recall or recognize his face. I think.

This also what most of Filipino farmers is lacking of, that is, APPLIED CHEMISTRY for REAL. If you have the knowledge and skill in chemistry, on your own without depending much on our government agencies could do soil, water analysis and of bacterias and diseases affecting our projects whether in terms of farming or aquaculture like this American expat that we have here in Iloilo.😃👍

I think SEAFDEC in Tigbauan can help this guy. Its a research center for aquaculture
@alexonorep5978 Жыл бұрын
Yeah all SEAFDEC is doing is to research and research but in financing and establishing our very own industrial aquaculture or even maintaining our dwindling fishponds were solely left to the private raisers or owners.
@markjohnson8240 Жыл бұрын
I did approach Seafdec about my project if they could provide technical assistance. There a south east asia multi-country funded aquaculture research center. I do not think there that interested in providing assistance to private owners. They also do not believe in Vannamei shrimps as there not native to the Philippines. The issue is only vannamei have the capacity to be grown in Freshwater Inland Systems. They do promote a giant freshwater shrimp that isn't idea for commercial culture.
@alexonorep5978 Жыл бұрын
@@markjohnson8240Yes SEAFDEC provides, assists and approve but other than that they don't jumpstart the business venture itself in large industrial commercial scale because they already have the knowledge firsthand and labor is not hard to find. There's so many idle fishponds already here in Iloilo.

If you have money you can do whatever you do in your farm but if you don't have money even though you have an hectare land u can say that it's hard to develop your farm in just 3 years.
@BiancaBeyond Жыл бұрын
Yes of course you have to start much smaller with a smaller budget but with hard work you can accomplish so much
@temujinkhan6326 Жыл бұрын
You failed before you started making excuses why you can't start. You can start with a 1000-gallon tank in your backyard although you can only have at maximum 300 fish for this size tank although if you don't have a good filtration system it's better to do with less fish or have to change water often. Even with this you can a grow into a profitable business you just need to save every money you make from it and continue to reinvest into the business so that you can grow and expand. Jeff Bezos did not wait to start Amazon until he had a billion dollars and even though he had some money he still started in his garage and had to borrow money from his parents to expand.
