Never get tired of this video!! But I’m sure of one thing .. I don’t think today’s artists would set aside their differences long enough to pull something like this off .. and that’s a shame!! Love Tina Turner and I think Cindy Lauper “kills it” on the vocals! Thanks for your reaction!!

Actually, they did do two newer versions with totally different artists. One the 25th anniversary of the original, a group of different artists recorded a new version for the earthquake in Haiti. And in 2018 a group of Broadway performers (including a few legendary names) came together as Broadway United to sing their version. There were a couple of unique voices in both versions that not everyone appreciated, but both also included some really amazing legends and standout performances. The Haiti version also included new verses performed as a rap with some of rap's biggest names. Nothing will ever replace the original, but IMHO, all versions have something to appreciate.

Thank you Rad for the nostalgic trip back... to when people actually appreciated music ... and each other!! Quincy Jones had a sign outside the door "Please leave your ego outside"... and they all did! The 'good old days' of honesty, respect for one another and integrity for a belief... what has happened to this world now?? Why have we not had ANY fundraising concerts like LIVE AID lately?? These heroes were awesome, and we have been so blessed to have their music in our lives today... Thanks again! Blessings...

From this, a time of diversity & unity, to today's racial division breaks my heart. The world was coming together in the 80's. There was such diversity in the entertainment world & people weren't worried about political correctness or racial tension. I so miss those times. One day I hope a generation gets to experience what us 80's kids got to experience. Best decade IMO. Love & Peace to all!

That legend (with the whiten hair and beard) is Kenny Rogers, and yes he IS a legend. One of the greatest country singers of all time and one of my favorites. His was the first record I owned when I was 6 years old. He died a few years ago and I bawled my eyes out. He was good friends with Lionel Richie too. Kenny Rogers has some great songs, you should react to them. Start with The Gambler, Coward of the County, Lucille and Lady. There are SO MANY more, but those 4 are a great starting point. You won't be disappointed. Kenny Rogers is AWESOME!

I was 9 when this song came out in 1985. USA for Afric recorded it for free because Ethiopia, was experiencing a severe famine at the time.Through the sale of the album, I think USA for Africa raised about 65 million dollars, which they then donated to various charities that could provide relief. I used to know all the lyrics, because our music teacher would always have us sing it in class. It always felt special to hear it played.

Good luck because it wasn't always easy but it was a different time. You have blessings that we didn't have. Please make your own music that's full of love and honor. You got off to a bad start but that can change. Make the choice to survive. Don't stay victims.

Right? Oh and Tina Turner. She is such a legend, even her life story is truly powerful! It's always better to see people react to this a little farther into reactions from the 80s music cus they are more blown away by all the legends and more excited how many they recognize. I've even seen a few go back and watch it again after a while to see if they can guess them all. 😂😂 I have even seen a couple look into Bruce Springsteen after this cus they had to hear how he sounded in a whole song.

I just now found your channel and have been looking through your archives. Likely will be subscribing as well. I would *love* to see your reaction to this song: Wolf Totem by The Hu, the official video. I've been enjoying your insight as you discover new music and would be quite interested to see what you make of them. If you turn on English subtitles, you should be able to get the English translation of the lyrics, as they sing in another language. I won't say what that language is, so that it's more of a complete experience for you without expectations.
