Anyone wondering: Finland says ”se on toivotonta” meaning ”it’s hopeless” In a normal conversation tho, a Finn would just say ”toivotonta” with frustration. And that word doesn’t automatically translate to ”hopeless”. It’s complicated. Google the conjugaison of Finnish words (or don’t…). Anyway, by saying ”toivotonta” everybody would still understand that you’re saying ”it’s hopeless” without actually saying ”it is”-part. It’s just a Litte thing; by saying the whole sentence it sounds a little clumsy to a fluent speaker. It’s just not what a native speaker would say.
