Somalian story is very much similar to Afghanistan story. Same blunders repeated by US. It's very difficult to establish peace in those regions where tribals affinity is more important than national unity. Afghanistan suffered from same problem and in the end all this civil war led to extreme poverty and became fertile grounds for terrorists recruitment.
