Russia is also scared of Finland because it can cut off the Kola Peninsula with the Moscow and St Petersburg, Murmansk which is also center of Artic Fleet and it has many Missles silos , nuclear warheads etc finland can cutoff Moscow with its largest installation of Nukes and Missiles . Both Northern Fleet and Baltic fleet will have to breach the GIUK line to reach the Atlantic ocean to intercept US ships. So, it doesn't matter a lot from the GIUK line's POV whether Sweden and Finland join NATO or not. However, it does matter to a much higher degree for the Baltic fleet as Sweden and Finland could detect and block movement of Baltic SSNs accessing the Atlantic.
