regarding Geneva convention there is a famous quote'' everything is fair in love and war '' .And, in war where emotion and sentiment is involved every rule and convention are kept aside because these emotion and sentiment are not bind to the rules during war scenario . that's why u see America and European country does war crimes despite having so called well cultured and respect basic human right in there country and have decent ranking related to these thing.

Whenever the world tries to have a unified governing body or law or convention it fails abruptly, likewise League of Nations, UN, Geneva Convention, etc. Even today WHO, WTO, are failing upon the aspirations, but this doesn't mean that we would relinquish the efforts, every "conflict of century" gave us the chance to learn something new and to set new rules, new conventions, and I m sure we'll reform all the older treaties by 2050, also Geneva Convention is not the exception to this change. In 20th century these laws were guided by the principles of west, but in "21st century global regime", asian powers would play the major role.

If in Russia they are criminals. In Ukraine they are heroes. There is no right or wrong. Everyone is right according to his belief and perspective. I'm against war of any kind. It only brings death and destruction. Russia must respect Ukraine sovereignty and follow guidelines of the UN and withdraw it's troops from Ukraine. Remember, War in any form is not justified..., if you live in it, only then you realise.

sir i think we should go with certain principles of Ethics of War and Humanity, rightfulness and wrongfulness of act in the context of Public interest or welfare during War or conflict. All these should be kept in mind while traversing through the act done by either side. there should be category of punishments like. Extreme terrorist group should be contained from geneva convention and the insurgent group should be under this if they are fighting against other country after the recognition as side-soldiers by the govt of that country during war.
