Hey Erik. You and Team USA is such an inspiration to me since way back 2012. I started playing a few years back and really hit the turbo around that year mentioned above. I’ve been to different position and now currently settled as a setter. Is there by chance you, Micah Christenson, Kawika Shoji and Sir Tuaniga can make a video in becoming a much more effective setter and the best training drills to improve this skill set. Hopd you’ll consider this. Thank you. Go Team USA! 🇺🇸🇸🇽

Whats the difference between a 1 and a float? Also TJ hitting 3D is awesome
@elil67812 жыл бұрын
Both the float and when he called the 1 are the same set, but when he calls a bounce ball he wants a tighter and lower set so he can hit it straight down, opposed to a traditional 1 ,that floats a little bit. I’m not sure that’s what it is, that’s just what I inferred as a setter.

It looks like Matt Anderson is still suffering from some lack of confidence after playing at zenit kazan for so long. It must be so hard going from the star hitter on all his teams top being someone who barely gets set at all with Mikhailov and leon on his team. I still reckon they under utilised him in that team. I suffered from a similar thing when I went from being the star hitter on my team which got set 70% of the balls and probably having a kill percentage around 65% to getting set around 30% of the balls and my kill percentage dropped to around 40%. Its so tough adjusting to a lower load of sets and it can really impact your confidence. Luckily Ive proven myself as a one of the better hitters on my team and my amount of sets have gone up to around 50% and with a higher kill rate but I completely understand how he must feel.
