One thing is for sure, USA's #79 should have worn a bigger uniform. It's sloppy.🤣

I spoke to Ezekiel Elliot's people and they say this was perfectly fine. If anything, they would've gone a size smaller.

Dude, I'd have killed to see your reaction to the Austria game lol! You were on point with this one. I've known about the Japanese international team for years now and this isn't the first time they've played & beaten team USA at this level over the years. But this one is the most polarizing now that the IFAF has gained traction.

I’m from Japan but I used to live in states in my childhood so I only know the game in basic level. So I don’t know about the tactics or formations. But… I can’t believe USA losing to Japan even in U20. If it was Baseball or Soccer, it might happen but American Football? In Japan, American Football is so minor and there are Zero football stadium. It’s minor like “cricket” in US. 80% of Japanese don’t know the rules. Rugby is way major in Japan. Can someone teach me are the Japanese team who played extremely well? Or Americans were horrible & looked down on Japanese? Even if Japan did extremely well, I can’t believe this

Japan team played extremely well. They have good players related to technique. Here is the issue. Football like basketball is a “big man’s” game. The Japan running back is like 5’7 155. Too small for even D1 football. The problem on the US side is that they are picking 6’2 225 LB’s but are slow and not D1 level. The US team is poorly coached and planned somewhat but they are not built to simply beat Japan then face a team like Canada. Some 5’11 195 linebackers for the US could help against Japan but most 5’11 195 lb US guys don’t practice at LB. Even the Japan O line probably averages 250 at best. They can be mobile but not smash mouth. College D1 lines are like 300 lbs and move just as well or even quicker. The talent level for US isn’t there because most of them are getting ready or are already at a D1 college.

@@f430ferrari5 Thank you for explaining. D1 level means college teams like UCLA, Alabama, Michigan…..etc those level right now? Yeah , like you said, this US(U20) team had some size, but way slower than those top tier college teams. And at NFL level, I have image like they’re even more bigger & faster & fully armed with complicated tactics. So US team this time was almost like high school level But to be honest, I’m not sure Japan(U20) team can beat American hight school Allstar. Sadly, Japanese football is not just minor , it has not reached a level of entertainment. Like you said, size and speed matters and it’s really high hurdle to overcome for Japanese. Maybe scouting Sumo wrestlers might be a closet way to success. By the way, why I know football is because I used to live in Seattle in my childhood. I remember playing with Nerf football between class . Also remember counting “ 1aligator 2aligator…… then pass the scrimmage line and go for 2hand touch to the quarterback. Sorry for my bad English, so much time has past and I’m almost forgetting English

@@user-zc8uj9wx7t yes. D1 level is Alabama, Michigan, UCLA, etc. I wouldn’t say the US team is at HS level because elite HS level is probably better than the U20 US team. Japan U20 would probably lose to the best HS US team and even many other elite schools. Those teams have the 6’1 225 running backs who 4.4 type speed. Big DT’s and O line too. Fast linebackers. Not every single player but many very good. Many of us played touch or flag football where we count out the alligators. Nerf ball is much smaller too which many of us can throw more easily. You may want to look up Gyo Shojima. He played for UCLA as a walk on. He also played for Japan’s U19 team back then. Some half Japanese players are Thomas Duarte who also played for UCLA. There is also Johnnie Morton and Chad Morton from USC.

Jamis Winston, Todd Gurley and others have been on Team USA over the last 25+ years and are .500 against Canada. The US has a massive advantage in quantity of players and coaches BUT it’s a one week tournament and you can only put 11 players on the field!!!! Canada Mexico and Japan ( Now Austria) can also put 11 good players on the field. Soooooo, you need a STRATEGY to win. It’s easy for the US to to do this. Watching the US blunder, prejudice, misconceptions is hilarious. Pull your heads out of your butts and look at these tournaments with a clear head and you will win everything 65-3🍷

The only explanation for this debacle is that the American team wore the Japanese uniform and vice versa ;) haahhahaha. We know this is not a top tier young american team. but lets give credit to the Japanese team cause they were flying around the field as if its their last game!

Fist thing, they had like 4 days of practice from meeting each other this is a joke, second off if anybody follows recruiting they would know this is like kids that won’t make it to even the bad colleges. We could take a bunch of 3 stars and put up 200 on every team. Trust me when I say that this isn’t a USA all star team. They also have to pay to go play on this team. Nobody takes this serious. We could have taken high school teams in Texas that would absolutely murder every team.

The problem is that American football is non-existence in Japan, so even if these player aren't the best, they should still be dominating. If this was baseball, yeah America lose. Rugby, and football (Soccer) yeah possible. But American football? Fuuuu..ck. this is bad. Even worse is that they score 41. Pearl Harbor was 1941.
