I read that the SR-71's defenses are altitude and speed. It can fly fast enough to outrun a missile, and isn't it true that missiles fly at Mach 7? I also read that the top speed of the SR-71 is top secret, even to this day! I was so excited to finally see the SR-71 at the NMUSAF!

@@class2instructor32 we have had some failed tests yes. When we test our weapons we test them several times and you may have 10 successful tests, and one fail, and they will pause everything. There are a few in service right now and last I heard about a year ago over 70 in development. Have you ever heard of sandboxx news on KZbin? Check that Chanel out if you haven’t ever seen that guy. Sorry, but the first words from this video are that the black bird was the fastest aircraft of all time, this is a lie , one man flew into space setting more records on this subject then anyone to this day. At OVERMUCH 5.5 that 5 and a half times the speed of sound. But no aircraft that is known Flys faster then mach 3, except the Arora project that supposedly travels at over Mach 14. Go ahead prove me wrong.
