1) They dont want our adversaries to know what we're doing (they need to work for their intelligence) 2) If the cost of these programs was put on public display, half of US tax payers would loose their 💩! And the DoD doesn't want the push back.

I think it will be a long time coming. There are lots of factors in aerial combat, and it would take years to develop the ability to recognize and properly react to every situation. Testing is directed toward success, so failures will not be displayed until the A1 piloted aircraft is involved in combat where logic deficiencies will result in the plane being shot down. So you won't get much information from a wrecked aircraft, especially when the wreckage is not accessible.

An AI "pilot" can think faster, process much more information, does not get tired, can survive much higher g-forces, does not fear death, and is so much faster and cheaper to train than a human pilot. Why use a human pilot?

@my_dear_friend_ Жыл бұрын
@@Only_God_Is_Allah_SWT - Not one of the things you mentioned is factual for piloting high tech aircraft. AI does not have a expiration date. Humans do. We die, we get old, we cannot be improved once we are old. Our bodies fail. Humans malfunction all the time. Just look at the world and what we are doing. It's a mess! People hurt/kill other people for the dumbest reasons. AI does not get mad. AI does not need sleep. AI does not need breaks. AI does not get sick. And if one version fails, just use a backup. About money: Human pilots(!) are expensive and slow to train! AI might be expensive once but can be replicated many times for almost no money (in an area that already uses a lot of tech). Regarding smart: AI is faster than a human at every task that needs a lot of data processing. It can make rational decisions better (but it is worth looking at what 'better' might mean). All this said, I am convinced that humans will survive AI in the long run. AI works better in high tech environments but people are better in low tech environments.

@@Only_God_Is_Allah_SWT What are you talking about? The AI lasts infinitely longer than a human, You have to sort, evaluate, train, pay, and then release the fighter pilots after a max of like 30 years as their eyesight and reflexes deteriorate. You don't need to do any of that for the AI except choose which AI model you want for a specific mission, upload it to the fighter computer and switch between models on the fly if you need to. If an f16 is shot down you don't lose the AI, it was just an offshoot copy of the one in the database, with all the experience it has, losing it compared to a pilot is literally nothing. You can train the AI as long as you pay the electricity bills which everyone already does. The AI can run thousands of simulations in parallel, and get 1000 flight hours in 1 hour if it wanted. You can end up with an AI that has flown simulated sorties for millions and millions of hours, something no human pilot could do. And they don't retire. Or want to leave for holidays, or get sick or injured. They can also be copied infinitely, the only limiting factor for how many fighters you can have in the air is the amount of aircraft you have at the ready. You don't need to wait for the pilots to get to, and into the planes. There are so many advantages like battle readiness that you arent taking into account here.
