Abhijit,I read somewhere that when Zulfikar Ali Bhutto signed Shimla accord with Indra Gandhi,he prevailed upon her to reduce the number of Sikhs in our Armed forces including BSF CRPF Industrial Security Force etc. This resulted in joblessness in Punjab and the reason for the youngsters in that state to become terrorists and druggists. In 1975 when India won the world hockey cup in Malaysia, Indira Gandhi hosted our Hockey team in her residence and she told MAM Ramaswamy the then IHF president that there are too many sikhs in our national hockey team and he should some how bring their numbers down in that game too.

Where did you read it? Would love to read, considering that Indian government agreed to it. Army Recruitment quota is based on recruitablr population percentage of state. I'm from rajasthan, border state, rain dependent farming in large part, large part of youths dont get into army, backwardness leads them to be unemployed. Still they do some work, they go other states for jobs. Terrorism and drugs is a choice, and also can be imposed through propaganda.

He never promised 15lacs would be given to each Indian….what he said was that the amount of loot and black money stashed abroad was equal to 15 lac per person and he would do everything in his capacity to bring that back…. The context was clear. It was almost the same think what Subramanyam Swamy. Swamy was also not in favour of distributing looted money to people. It belongs to GOI and can be used to reduce taxes, improve infrastructure and reduce budget deficit. That is lot for growth of India. Uneducated do not understand. They only want everything free.
