I agree, about your kilt straps, they are pretty bad assed and I want those on any kilt I order in future from you all. I wonder, do you do or can you do the same embossing on your sporran straps and strap parts with the chains and other belts you offer? YES, I'm a total peacock, I like the bling even if it is subtle. Rock On guys!!!

With a PC wear either a belt or waistcoat, never both. Belt alone is fine. Black belt for black tie, white belt for white tie If you want to hang a lot of hardware get a Montose or Kenmore with the belt worn over it

me when i started to wear kilt i was talking to friends thati always was drawn to kilt i didnt knew why ect and one of them said that that guy in kilt always look lgood and she tough it would fit me good so i search and found on ebay several kilt package(starting package) i selected a few tartan i liked but wasnt set on wish one to get and i asked her to help me choose she selected a few of them and i end thinking that i shouldnt at first (Before i knew the tartan association to clan was recent andd didnt knew even at first i didnt knew i had some scottish names in my ancestry ( martin called the scotsman, i have mcré (macrae), i have macart, ect adn so i selected at first a universal tartan heritage of scotland it was a pv 8 yard , package included hose, belt sporran and a gilly shirt ( all that was missing was the hose flash sadly but a few weeks ago when i saw the socks was goind down i contacted them to see wish flahs would look good since they didnt had the same tartan , and they sugested med black flash (but they forgot i asked to switch white hose to black one ) so i had black hose wiht black flash but then one year later i bough my first clan tartan since martin i couldnt find wish clan he was (where he was from since he came wiht the french) , i knew it could be from lowland eath lothian, or clan cameron or macdonald and i liked the macdonald tartan so i got that clan . now i have several kilt additional to the one i said i have gunn ancient gordon dress 2 macleod of lewis( one from sport kilt ( with fringe but no sew pleat and it has a waist band so like a little less, but still wear it from time to time i got 2 traditional macleod of assynt( it was both sold as harris but its miss the black edge on the rest line so its assynt i got 1 utility kilt macleod of assynt and i ahve also a maple leaf but sadly i got it as 3rd kitl and made a mistake in the measurement so i pay 400$ for a kilt that ai never could wear :( i also have a black ripstop ultimate utility kilt i have now a festival celtique de quebec kilt on the way 4 of the kilt i have matching also fly plaid (macleod of lewis macleod of assynt and gordon dress and the festival one the festival one i plan on waering at the festival opening dinner and for holly days since its my high hand kilt i will wear it less often i will wear some time too but less often and there is a few more i plan on getting i want buchannan macrae hunting for sure ( i found it not too exmpencive) i want a macrea red too ( cause i plan on representing the clan at the festival next time black stewart maybe a dress stewart or dress macdonald i want to show my surpport to lgbtq by getting one the kilt in that tartan if i like the tartan i want it ill also try first to get mostly tartan that i could be member of the clan even if i have no proof the exeption so far i have the macleod i don thave encestry in that clan yet its the clan i have the most tartan cause i join the society ( cause it was the closest to me) and this winter i found the clan macre and sinc its the one ii have the most sertitude the name is origin of scotlan i join the clan and when i join the clan society i told the macleod of quesbec representant , and since we had added honorariy tittle to those who are most involved in the clan i gain the tittle of kinight of the clan , and so i told him i would still represent the clan macleod at the festival ect but he insist that i start to represent clan macrae cause they never came to the festival so by doing that he make the festival gain a new clan table :) so i accepted wish is why my next kilt i need is a macrea alsos i have 1 balmoral (black wiht black white and red dice ), i also have a macleod of assynt glengarry that i got instead of a plain black but the seller corrected adn sent me also a black one , i was planning to wear the glengary with the macleod of quebec association badge with a blue hackle at the festival but cause i changed to macrea i might not wear the glengary sinc not an officier of that clan like i was in macleod ( i was very involved in the clan )

Correct me if I'm wrong in this theory; Trews may have started out as the English word; "trousers" like we pronounce it here. But in Scotland they would most likely pronounce it "trewsers" then they shortened it to "trews." putting their unique spin on it. That's possibly how the term "trews" evolved. What are your thoughts on it? Keep on Rockin' guys!

Why does the fringe on Erics kilt appear to be made from a completely different tartan than the kilt it is attached to?

It is. He wanted something a little different, so we made a Glyndwr tartan kilt with a strip of Albannach tartan as the fringe.
