I was in the same boat. Both are great services for your country but think of it this way, on the civilian side it’s being in the back of an ambulance as a paramedic or getting an IT job making way more. 25H bound. Signing my contract tomorrow.

Go with what your heart says. I know a 68W who went through IPAP (inter-service Physician's assistant program) to get her PA-C license and then commissioned as a 1LT. Once you're a PA, that's $$$ and skills that you can take anywhere. Being a combat medic, those PA classes will be much easier to you than someone who is not a combat medic.

it translate well. the experience you get routing and switching I know for a fact gets in you in the door a lot of places.

Currently serving as one in an ESB in Germany. It's definitely a change from being a Q to now a H but It's fairly rewarding. I have worked with a lot of higher ranking individuals ( BCs, CSMs ) but because of that it's also fairly stressful as the entire job isn't within your control due to utilizing Hubs and such. So the days where they are taking forever to actually help you figure out what's going on get real stressful having brass breathing down your neck
