Modern military operations in every domain: air, land, sea, space, and cyberspace, rely heavily on the use and manipulation of the electromagnetic spectrum for success. The primary responsibility of the Electromagnetic Warfare Specialist is to ensure electromagnetic spectrum superiority. This is having the ability to gain and maintain freedom of action in the electromagnetic spectrum at the time, place, and parameters of our choosing, and to deny that freedom to our Nation’s adversaries.

Good to see them letting in skill level 1 soldiers. I was one of the first to bring this capability back to the Army from it's 20+ year hiatus. Alot of hard work went into building this career from it's small and vastly unknown, and often ignored capability. I'm proud to be an 'Old Crow' SSG Hall, (USA,RET) 29E - Electronic Warfare Specialist July 10 - Feb 21

@@Fish2Best not something I can faithfully give an answer on for that but there's always opportunities to reclass in the army. 17e to 17c would make you a well rounded EW trooper. I think you will love it though. Study everything you can about your threat of focus. Learn how they utilize their equipment so you can learn how to use it against them while protecting your assets.

When I transitioned to the National Guard I had to go to MEPS even though I was on the IRR. And because of being in the IRR, I had to get paperwork (DD Form 4 I believe) to have the Marine Corps release me over to the Army. There is like a 2 week AIT of some sort that a recruiter can better tell you about. It wasn't a mandatory thing when I moved over in 2017. Hope that helps bro

As an American military thinker, I appreciate most of what you've said here. My thinking today, although I constantly understand the conventional field of intelligence, spying, AI, and electronic systems warfare and defense, is less conventional. Every natural atom, even stone for example is electrically charged, even more biological atoms, but far, far more present mankind and military forces; everyone carries cell phones, computers, spy devices, etc. ad infinitum. I believe, and I am proficient at such innovative science, that it is possible to re-magnetize all this electricity, for despite its present ordered configurations, it is surging electricity and potentially dangerous to electrocute the entire enemy battlefield, and I must confess that like everyone including the IDF we're backing to some extent we conceive of the battlefield in a hybrid warfare context.
@obi-wankenobi1750
@obi-wankenobi1750 8 ай бұрын
Lots of word but you said nothing of value. “Electrocute an entire battlefield” lol you have no functioning knowledge of electromagnetism or the capabilities of modern technology. And what do you mean “every atom is electrically charged?? Hydrogen for example has 1 proton (+1) and one electron (-1) which neutralizes for a net charge of zero (+1) + (-1) = 0.
