USB to Serial Adapter Not Working? It May Be An Easy Fix!!!

working over the years with hundreds of hardware devices with serial connectivity, I found that a lot of these prolific clone chips also fail when there is a lot of data being transferred through the serial port, like when watching a server boot Linux and a lot of text goes through. Best to buy a FTDI based serial adapter. They cost a bit more, but they are reliable and they do not require any driver patches (aka using older drivers so they continue to work).
