Yes, this is a massive hire. He is the son of Buddy Ryan and the twin brother of Rex Ryan. This is a big time home run hire. That entire Ryan Family is Football Royalty when it comes to NFL Coaching. Fantastic Hire.

He was probably in high school when his dad coached as good of defense with the Bears as maybe I've ever seen. And was probably going to practices. Kinda like being a Manning and playing qb. If you haven't seen the Bears championship run, you should check it out. They put some serious hurt on offenses and especially QBs.

I think that NFL coaches are starting to see that they can make as much money or more in college football as a NFL head coach, but they want the recruiting experience and then will easily get a head coach job in college. Does Ryan maybe think the USC head coaching position will be open in another year or two?

Rob Ryan was a pretty good DC in the NFL for a decade. Seemed like he specialized in making do with whatever he had on hand. His last stop was the Saints which started great but ended in absolute chaos. Junior Galette took over the locker room with Robs blessing. He hasnt been trusted to run a defense sense, that was almost 10 years ago. I think Rob might be just using yall as a retirement plan. But USC beat LSU yallre trending up. Coach Ryan will have to bring it to keep that job

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.. I'm not so sure... plus, we don't have good LBs as far as that position group goes... DL should be better, and secondary should be better, too. LBs, not so much. Hopefully, this hire helps.
