Good luck Muss. You brought Razorbacks basketball back to national recognition. It was an amazing run.

From Arkansas, so love the Hogs. Live near LA, so I love the Trojans too...I'll give it to you real. Muss is all hype, and any deep look into his career will tell you that. He produces good teams, but has never REALLY been close to hanging a banner or cutting a net. The Elite 8 and Sweet 16 are cute, until you get there and get your doors blown off and realize that you weren't REALLY as close to being great like you thought. The Bad: He can not develop players and lives via the portal. A look at Nevada and Arkansas' cupboard when he left will tell you all about his loyalty. He ran those schools fast and loose on the recruiting circuit, and left them barren on the way out. Players DO NOT stay around to play for him, and that is telling. His act wears thin fast. Maybe USC being more committed to the NIL than Arkansas was will play out well for him, and he can simply "buy" a chip. He will hang his hat on the fact that he pumped a few Hogs into the NBA. Moody, Smith Jr., Williams, Walsh, Black...None of them are overly productive, averaging no more than 6 ppg. Again...He simply can not develop players. Xs and Os...Not that guy. He recruits based on ESPN and All-American status. He will be lucky to even win the battle with UCLA on the recruiting trail. The Good: He wins games, and is a solid motivator. He wins big regular season games, just not the BIGGEST OF POST-SEASON GAMES. The questionable: NO CONSISTENCY: At Arkansas, he beat Duke, Purdue (exhibition), Kansas, and Gonzaga. Conversely, he got SMOKED by Texas (exhibition), Baylor, Duke, and UCONN. He has never really competed for the SEC crown, and lost by over 20 to Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU, Florida, and Auburn. He has had his brakes blown off in the SEC by some very pedestrian teams. And all this with allegedly outstanding recruiting classes. My opinion of Muss would be greatly improved if he had left his teams in better shape on his way out. He reminds me of the way Pete Carroll left SC. When the going got tough, Muss got rolling. I hope he can shore things up and do well at SC, lord knows we have the infrastructure. I just don't see it. In the Pac 12, maybe. But I think the Big 10 is gonna eat him up. And I think these young guys are smart enough to see that he will jump ship if times get tough. All that said, it ain't like players are loyal these days. The portal has changed things, for better or worse. #FightOn #WooPig

Mussellman is not a home run hire. So glad he’s gone, dude was a straight up embarrassment. He will NEVER replicate at USC what he did at Arkansas.

The Galen Center which is the home of the USC Trojans basketball teams seats 10,258. It's a beautiful arena and will get very raucous for visitors when the Trojans are winning and fans show up.

Well, it's natural when you're looking to upgrade. Which is what he's been doing. USC basketball hasn't performed better (although superior resources are available). And it is a much more prestigious school in a better location (for the Coach).

USC will have buyer's remorse soon. Musselman is a blowhard who doesn't develop players. As a Hog, I say, "don't let the door hit you." His wife on the other hand is a very nice person.

#1 in baseball, the basketball resume speaks for itself. Dominant in track and field, ranked in many others. You don’t make no sense

Across all sports, Arkansas has more conference championships than any other SEC school, by a good margin. Consistently in the top 5 for directors cup which considers athletic and academic success. I know they don’t get much media attention, cause of location and narrative…but the facts are the facts.
@buckyoung45789 ай бұрын
A certain Arkansas coach is THE WINNEST COACH IN HISTORY IN COLLEGE ATHLETICS. That would be Track and Field Coach John McDonnell! Also, Arkansas is the HIGHEST finisher in the combined sports-academic poll last year. Being able to type doesn't help your stupidity Chad!

You do realize that Arkansas has more National Championships than any college program out there. 🤓

Odd. Arkansas is a way better program - and in a better conference. Travel is gonna suck for non-football teams. Chris Beard should be the top target for the Razorbacks.

@USCTrojanHaterPolice9 ай бұрын
USC is way better school, far superior to anything Arkansas could offer, pal. Our men's BB program has been historically neglected, but we're looking to change that. USC has more men's teams national championships across all sports than ANYONE in America. No student admitted to USC would probably ever choose Arkansas, neither should any coach.
@Larry-s9e7i9 ай бұрын
@william7286 Arkansas is a better basketball school, but that's about it. my parents are from little rock, i was born and raised along with my brothers in the bay area but i am a DIE HARD RAZORBACK FAN. im a california kid, beaches, mexican food, beautiful women, fantastic weather, etc. Muss wanted to go back home and i understand why. we relocated to georgia man and while its great here, its no place like home. on top of that, he is about to be 60 so who knows how long he will be coaching. and like they said, less pressure. L.A. has the dodgers, clippers, lakers, chargers, rams, NHL, UCLA, etc. Muss can recruit out of his own backyard. A lot of hog fans are soured, i was for about 5 minutes but im from california so i understand, but appreciate Muss, he reestablished arkansas after 3 straight sweet 16s and 2 elite 8's. he put the hogs back on the map. now Hunter needs to get off his country behind, raise the NIL and go after Chris Beard. make a splash hire and keep it going. THANK YOU MUSS FOR 5 FANTASTIC YEARS
