The thing that I loved most about this game, as a life long Penn State fan, was the insane amount of respect that each side showed to each other and how respectful the coaching staff and the fans were. It really makes the game more enjoyable when it's evident that these people truly have a passion and a respect for good football. Great video as always!

. there was nowhere near the history with Penn state versus Texas. Watch the ESPN short documentary called the Trojan WAR and you will understand why Texas and particularly Texas QB Vince Young was gunning for USC. USC got cheated as Vince young's Knee was down however that was a special run for USC and Screw the NCAA for vacating USc's wins that season because of a Paul T Dee Witch hunt on USC.

Still the best game I've ever watched live, since I wasn't watching football at the time of the 2006 rose bowl. That's probably the second best game ever in my opinion. The best moment for USC football post 2008, and this was Helton's team. Even though it's easy to remember all the bad things that happened under Helton, he coached this game and it's a game and season I will never forget. FIGHT ON.

This was one of my favorite Rose Bowl games. This one, the 18' college football playoff between Georgia and Oklahoma, but number one was the National Title game between USC and Texas in '06. USC and PSU are also now Big Ten foes.

This was one of the greatest college football games ever. The stage was the Rose Bowl, the pinnacle (or at least it used to be, before the playoff system(s) degraded it). Regardless of who wins, the quality and commitment of both teams is cutting edge college football. This has to be ranked in the top 10 of CFB games ever played, but not topped by the 2006 contest--in the same great venue--between USC and Texas. The chief difference in these two games--for me, personally--was that in 2017, the Trojans prevailed, whereas in 2006, Lendale White failed to pick up that first down on fourth and less than 2. Lendale still has nightmares about it, and so do I. Congrats, by the way, to Harris Highlights for being the only site that I have seen thus far which characterizes the greatness of that game. But, back to 2017 and PSU vs USC, and the last great game by the Trojans. I mean, really, the way things are going, it was the Trojans' LAST great game. I feel like switching loyalty to UCLA for the first time in my life!

And then, having played a school plagued with scandal (and having a minor scandal of its own), USC went on to have scandal after scandal and bad hires after bad hires. Sam Darnold abandoned ship, and we have big time mediocrity settling in. And it's not just at USC, although that's the flagship of the PAC 12. The rest of the conference seems to be decaying as well. I'm sure that the SEC is commiting no such violations, because the NCAA has such an impeccable reputation (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

This was the best ROSE BOWL game I have ever seen in my entire life, and I have watched everyone since I was a little boy. I'm 47 years old. Hats off to PENN STATE for also playing an unbelievable game. I actually hated to see either team lose because you can tell every player, played with such intensity. I cant believe SAM DARNOLD is a red shirt freshman. He looked like a senior playing this game, calm, cool and not being rattled or discouraged when they trailed by 14 points in the 4th quarter. I feel privlaged to have watched this game LIVE. It's going to be a long time before we see another ROSE BOWL that will be compared to this one.
