Me too! And I do agree about Oregon that has been mostly dominate in the Pac12. I think the fanbase, alumni, and others are sick and tired of another coach who wont make an immediate impact. What I hear is every USC fan wants a big name candidate who has a good track record. Their sick and tired and interims and mediocre names that who wont influence recruiting. We need to get back on track people. If needed, overhaul the entire staff, once a new, (the best candidate), coach is officially hired who would turn the program back to one of the top premier program’s in the country.

James Franklin is the LAST person that should be considered for the SC coaching job. Penn State has been mediocre at best the last five years and he lost to none other than CLAY HELTON in the Rose Bowl!! This coaching vacancy is said to be better than 2/3 of NFL coaching jobs. They should be in no rush to hire a mediocre coach and make the same mistake they did with Clay Helton. If the Jaguars only win a handful of games this season, Meyer may be available. USC can afford to wait on someone like that. He is clearly the best choice for SC. It’s not even close.

“The university kept putting off the inevitable.” Translation: (The AD) lacked the courage of conviction to take the appropriate actions when those actions were warranted. Unusual? Not at all. Given the huge monetary contracts being awarded to the coaching staffs, AD”s are simply reluctant to admit that they may have made a mistake in their hiring process. Many schools, including the flagship university in the state of Louisiana, are currently experiencing a similar predicament. The more money that’s at risk, the more difficult it is for an AD to face the stark reality of contrition and a public mea culpa.
