It's called karma, sadly many immigrants who fixed their status here, voted red, expecting other new immigrants to get screwed, and so will they as well, so their jealousy and malice against their own kind, will come back to them.
@luperamos730722 күн бұрын
Those people you are referring to are citizens. Non citizens can't vote. It would be highly unlikely that they will get denaturalized. The vast majority of people they voted against are people that are here illegally. Now, these people that now got to vote were often here as well illegally before. So they are voting against their own people and communities. Unfortunately that is something very common among Latinos.

As an American retiree living in Thailand this is not different than what I need to endure. Annual renewal of Visa, register your address every 90 days, prove you’re financially stable with assets or income and you have health insurance. No wonder people risk life and limb to get in the USA. Thailand gives me nothing and god forbid you commit a crime you’re on the next flight out of here and banned from entering again.
@luperamos730722 күн бұрын
Hold on. I used to live in Thailand as well and am familiar with the visa runs. But you are comparing it to South East Asia, which is not a very immigrant friendly region. If you compared it to Europe then Europe would be way easier than it is here. In fact, our immigration laws are incredibly restrictive. People can study here, work here for years and will still have to leave if they can't renew their work visas. Family petitions can also take decades. People from the US on the other hand can study for free in most Euro countries and even obtain citizenship in some with rules that don't apply to others moving to the US.

@@Silvinhalv I only asked since you said you are legal. Otherwise I wouldn't have asked. Obviously Trump is against all immigrants. I have been here on a marriage green card for 3years now and during this time we have been blessed with two kids born here with my wife, living together and my kids have my surname on their birth certificates and we file tax together. I am due for citizenship application since September but was waiting to be fully three years before I submit application which was dec 8th 2024. I plan to submit application in January submitting all evidences. I believe the birth certificates alone of my kids born here with my wife and not just the marriage certificate or tax filing etc makes my case very easy and you can hardly tell me a marriage is false when it has produced two kids with my last name same as theirs and living together since I entered the usa till date!!! No criminal records or crimes or anything both from home and here! Do I have anything to worry about in my citizenship application!
