Funny thing I get my Eugens on faster than any other skate. I leave the liner loosely tied and dont touch the toe strap. Slip them on, crank the ankle strap down, whip the top velcro buckle/strap thing closed and job done. The numbered graduations on the ankle strap are so damn useful for a consistent fit too. Great review but i'm not taken by them. I'll stick with my Eugens.

Tastes are just different. After having nothing but xsjados for about 20 years, the first thing that really annoyed me about my new Aeons was, how long it took me to put on the skates and lace them up so that they fit really tight. With xajados set up correctly, this was just 1. Step in and kick to the back 2. Mid strap 3. Top straps 4. Toe straps - in under 1 minute. Getting out was even faster. The aeons are the complete opposite ... It takes at least 5 minutes to put them on and off. But maybe that's me because I want my Skates to be really glued to my feet. If they would offer a selection of spare parts and especially footwraps again, I would still skate xsjados. Nice review.

Im a nerd when it comes to new skates, I always pull my skates apart, clean all the junk loctite off then reapply new blue Loctite and then let them sit for 24 hours, also If the hardware is crap i get better stuff. I have trust issues. My Them skates had me questioning my life choices to start off with, got the terrible bits sorted and they are still very solid about 3 years on,. Another thing i have noticed is that bearing spacers in general are too big and i end up grinding them down so the bearings dont move around in the wheel. Fruitech hardware is pretty good if you're going to keep your skates for a while, everything fits and nothing strips. Just a comment for the algo. Love the vids Dave!

I bought the blue Xsjado Stockwell 3’s back in 2011 for my 30th birthday & was amazed by how light they were. I twisted my ankle on the second session & never used them again. I still have them & even complete with the footwraps, GC Feather light 2’s, wheels, bearings & anti-rockers they’re some of the lightest skates I’ve come across so I’m surprised the new ones are heavy. BTW that 270 back farv was so nice 👌 greetings from Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪

Oh Xsjados ! Such a love/hate relationship. It's funny, I skated them back in 2014 and they almost made me quit rollerblading because of how shitty they felt 😅. Then I bought some V13s with a flat setup and all was good, my faith in rollerblading was restored😌.

Powerslide Just lost a sale, won't be buying these. Original cuff is much better. Far to expensive in today's market for something that just rattles and breaks. Thanks for saving me the painful heartache.
@chauncey72423 ай бұрын
I mean the only thing that broke was the cuff buckle, not sure that’s on Powerslide. I’ve been skating that same Kizer buckle on a pair of Gawds for a couple months and it’s fine. And adding locktite to bolts is also a normal thing to do. I think it comes down to do you want a skate that adjustable.

@@mr.rodriguez5099 I definitely think the size of the soul plate matters with that issue. This soul plate being so wide just doesn’t seem like the best combination, but I imagine it would work well with a more narrow soul plate like an M12 or a 909 or Cult
