Also, for some reason, no one thought to expand the desktop by turning the head. For example, when you turn your head and look at the very edge of the display, the image shifts and you seem to look beyond the screen or as if your display shows only a part of the image that is on the desktop (in fact, in games this happens, you need to look at the information in another part of the space). In this hidden space, you can remove, for example, unnecessary controls such as the player, clock, quick access toolbar, etc. and access them by turning your head and looking at the edge of the display. Perhaps the function will not take root, but I personally would not hurt. And such functions do not take root, because no one talks about them normally, unfortunately.

Hi, I have an eye tracker 5, but windows shows it as unsupported and will not allow eye control to be turned on. The Microsoft website only shows support for the 4c, any ideas? Thanks for your great videos!

Hello, Tobii offers the Windows Eye Control beta driver, so the Eye Tracker 5 can be used with the Windows Eye Control feature. Tobii announced that Eye Tracker 5 is not officially supported by the Windows 10 Eye Control feature. The Beta Driver was provided by Tobii Tech support for those who had purchased it to use with the Windows Eye Control feature. However, it was stated that with every Windows/Tobii update, the beta driver can be run into technical issues with the Windows Eye Control feature. And, the beta driver needs to be reinstalled after every update. To use an eye tracking device as an alternative mouse, it is suggested to look at the PCEye at the Tobii Dynavox US website, us.tobiidynavox.com/pages/pceye.

Tobii try and stop you doing so as they want you to pay £1000 for the medical version not £150 for the gaming 5. They say it is because of the capabilities, but if you use open source stuff like Talon and Optikey you can work round it (or you can if you are really good with computers - I'm not but the wonderful tech person in our company puzzled over it till he solved it. I find it horrifying as someone with motor neurone disease that a company can be this avaricious, but can only guess it is fallout from the US medical system. If you are a programmer you may well be able to find a work round too (or buy a Tobii 4 second hand - I don't think they have blocked the software on that ... yet...

Currently, to use this Eye Tracker 5 as an alternative mouse, you need to use Windows Eye Control. As mentioned on the video, Windows Eee Control has a few limitations, such as 'mouse click and drag' feature is not available and 'size of the onscreen keyboard is not adjustable. So, the answer is, it does not allow to highlight multiple cells and dragging.

Tobii announces that "Our internal testing has indicated that upcoming updates for the Eye Tracker 5, installed either manually or via Windows Update, will make the Windows Eye Control beta driver non-functional. This means that Eye Control will stop working for you. For now, the solution is to reinstall the Windows Eye Control beta driver that was supplied through email to you a while back. We are planning updates for the Eye Tracker 5 every third month which means that you will have to reinstall the driver each time so please keep the installer handy." It is by intention that ET5 and Experience doesn't work with Windows Eye Control. The 4C with Tobii Core does work, but Head Tracking does not work with Tobii Core anymore.

I have Muscular Dystrophy SMA and I recently bought the Tobii Eye Tracker 5 for gaming, but I really need it to work with the some sort of app that simply moves my mouse cursor wherever I look. However it also appears that Windows 11 no longer supports eye tracking for Tobii Eye Tracker 5 (it’s greyed out in the windows 11 accessibility) Do you have any suggestions on what to do now in regards to using Tobii Eye Tracker 5 as a mouse instead of it being used only in the Tobii gaming interface?

Does this feature work on Windows 10 in Arabic? Because I have Windows 10 in Arabic language and it has the eye control feature, but it does not have its own power button. It seems that it is not activated. What is the solution? Note that I followed the steps to install the tobii 5 device and it was completed successfully, but I cannot run the feature from Windows

Optikey Software might be also a solution. It's more designed for disabled people but you'll have full control for Windows. My husband use its. He has only eye movement.

You actually can use this on Linux if you calibrate it on Windows. Once you calibrate it, it can work on Linux and macOS with Talon
