Hi! One question! Is there any option to also create a column with the AE file route? So the template can be changed programmatically?

Hi Komaneci, I'm looking into this, as well...here's a link that might help: support.dataclay.com/templater/content/concepts/data/reserved_column_names.htm You're likely looking for target or aep...let me know if this isn't what you were looking for!

Hi there! To continue on the question of @komaneci-km3yr: Is there also a possibility to asign MULTIPLE templates to a single data line? Maybe through a second column with 'target template 2' or something like that?

Hmm....Using the target header means you'll identify which comp you want to render for each row. When you do that, you should create a new row for each render as AE can only render one at a time. Consider each row as a line item in the render queue.

Do you have to use google sheets? Can I just use an excel file?

Yes, you can use an excel file with one caviat...you must first export the Excel data to a tab-delimited file in order to link it in Templater.

Good question Wesley! That's something I haven't tried yet, I link everything as a Google Sheet. I wonder if you download the Google Sheet if it will still work?

@@BallerFX Already tried that, it doesn't =/. Looks like the only choice for working without an online spreadsheet (in my case, I need to be this way for compliance reasons) is working with local TSV files, which is not great because it loses the cells formatting.

@@Wesley-pk5de If you're using local spreadsheets it's not too hard to write up a script that would run through the data and export then all. It's something I've set up as I'm in the same boat. Can't use Google sheets or any Ae plugins at work.
