This video was so amazing for a GitHub beginner like me. Thank you. Now I just need to learn what "Fetch Origin" does.

Now I can stop backing up all of my projects with ZIP files that eventually bloat to unsavory sizes on my disk

Short & simple just the way I like. I've been using Unity Version Control and likely user error, kinda messed my project a bit when reverting...:( I do however like that Github backs up your project in a .zip Thx much

the only thing I do not like about github desktop is that it does not show previous commits and branches like a tree view like in sourcetree or gitkraken. So it is hard to use github desktop with a team where merging branches and commits are annoying

yeah, I prefer git extensions. I used to use Tortoise Git but git extensions is just easier to use.

Anyone else cant find their unity file thingy? Like how am i supposed to know where it is 😅 did i name it or something?

Can I ask - How have you got git LFS integrated directly into Github Desktop? When I create a project I do not get the prompt to include git LFS, what am I missing?
@richiei53924 ай бұрын
Not sure what I did but it's prompting for LFS now. It might have had so thing to do with placing a '.gitatteibutes' file in the project before initiating the repo. Can't be certain. (sorry not very helpful)

it is so curious...with the cloud service... if you use unity 2015... never crash any project, if you start to use unity since 2020 and higher vertions , exist some possibility to break a project... the solution, share the code in a cloud...github...
