huntstand lite is great for this because you can download land parcil information before you leave and save stand locations and other very cool stuff

can you log stuff from a mobile device? I'm using Android but Google Earth seems to have a lot more featured on the desktop version. what do you use in the field?

+Killemquietly You can use a handheld GPS and use the tracks portion of it to trail the deer and drop pins. You can then take this info and use a usb cord to upload it directly into Google Earth.

I use Huntstandlite in the field. Its awesome. You can transfer data manually if you wish or link both to gmail. Its cool

I use google earth and in the field with gps. I always upload it before i leave home while i have internet or good cell service. I now use onxmaps which is awesome.. it shows private and public land with gps..

google earth is outdated. give ON X HUNT a try. pretty much does everything as google earth but disign just for hunting.
