Try this guys ( great for high porosity hair that is prone to breakage and fairy knots) 1.Fenugreek (soak seeds in water until they get soft. You can even drink the water that u used to soak the fenugreek in. Blend until soft. Remember to STRAIN) 2. Avocado (over riped one is great for this purpose. BLEND until soft. Mix both ingredients together with oils of your choice. Deep condition once a week for maximum strength and length retention.
@anthoniaugiagbe88603 жыл бұрын
What about low porosity hair
@deebrown38323 жыл бұрын
@@anthoniaugiagbe8860 well, u can use fenugreek if u have low porosity but not as often or freely as u would if u had high porosity. Fenugreek is high in protein, and although low porosity hair needs protein, it tends to be protein sensitive. So I'm saying protein overload is less likely to happen with those that have high porosity than low porosity. So if I were low porosity i would stay away from "at home protein treatments", and like go to the salon once in a whole to get it professionally done. But remember, sis, it's not a once size fits all. Our hair is very diverse and flexible. Play and experiment with your hair. You might come up with a different method. Happy healthy hair journey 🤗

I love this video. It reminds me of when I lived in a giant house of single mamas from all different backgrounds. we would hang out in the kitchen together, share recipes, and do DIY stuff like this... We found a way to communicate even though we literally all spoke different languages, and we bonded over our kids.

Rice, avocado and coconut is not recommended if you have protein sensitive hair as they are high in protein and can cause your hair to become brittle. The heat cap method she used at the end is a recommended method for low porosity hair as heat aids in absorption for those hair types

If is for the hair you don't need to throw away the brown part of the avocado. Also why not put all the ingredients in the blender for easy mixing.

You give me flashbacks; my Mother made our own products as well, and I'd sit on the floor holding the jar while she did my hair too! 😅😥

Does this work for Caucasian hair? Gonna try it anyways because my hair is dry from hard well water.. we live in the country so no city water... love the recipes just wondering how many times I should use this without hurting my hair more...

Try not to use heavy things on your hair cause it can break and be careful with the oils cause your hair can get pretty greasy. You can use leave ins after you shampoo and condition your hair, and you can use aloe vera to keep the moisture, tho if you don't have aloe vera use cucumbers

I’m guessing if your hair is in protective styles once you take it down to use any one of these treatments. I will definitely try one of them soon!
